Request: Ability to edit titles and delete posts

Here are my requests for the site.

1) Ability to edit titles after posting.
2) Ability to delete your posts completely if you dont want them up anymore and dont just want to put a [*] in them.
For 2 in order for correct moderation the mods should still be able to see the deleted post and it should just put a "post has been deleted by author" message for everyone else, Frag count should still be there and should still count. There should also be a time limit on how old posts you can delete are to avoid abuse. So 20 min maby?

Discuss.

I think the reason you can't edit titles is because then you could make the title something random and people wouldn't be able to find the thread anymore or you just change it slightly without that intention but with the same result.

Editing titles makes sense in theory but it's a bitch in terms of Pretty URLs and SEO.

Deleting posts is kind of a double edged sword because it makes sense in some cases but then again it can easily be abused.

I feel like while this would be nice, it could make it hard to find things, and also makes it so you don't have to think at all before you post. I don't see any problems with the current way it is that would make this change necessary.

What if you were able to change the title of a thread but there would be an "edited" button next to the title and when you click that you can see the original title. It's not perfect but it's the best I can think of. And maybe the URL could just stay unchanged. To me that seems like the only way to solve that problem.

The title part of the thread URL doesn't matter, only the number part does.

Example:
http://www.teamfortress.tv/33539/sideshow-and-stark-banned-from-etf2l-due-to-intersexual-relationship
