White screen whenever I join a server/create game.

I currently use highframes on chris's config with dxlevel 81. I get this white screen when ever I join a server (you can still see the hud, and you can see the screen but only when pause of the game) .

Here are my settings.

I think there is something wrong with the shader detail.
When ever I switch to high shader value, I get a flickering screen and screen gets foggy/brighter. With a high value i get the white screen.
I tried resetting my nvidia settings to default and tried -autoconfig.
I use windows 7 64-bit and gtx 650 ti.

I really want to use dxlevel 81 to get that fps boost, so if you can help me I appreciate it.
Thanks!

Geknaiirare you using transparent viewmodels

Yes I am, is that the problem? If so, how do I remove it.

You can't use transparent viewmodels with dx8 (pretty sure the guy who made it said that on the thread).

Just undo everything related to the viewmodels. Or if you have no idea what you did then just delete your hud files.

Occasionally when I'm playing my screen will turn purple/black. I don't use transparent viewmodels and I have dx9/highframes/no viewmodel mods and I'm using egghud. Is there a known fix? My issue is kinda similar (except the game is playable lol)

Sounds like a script that changes crosshair, but is using an invalid named crosshair, so instead of a crosshair you get the purple/black broken texture box in its place.
