Since the taunt update every time I launch the game and the first time I open up my loadout menu the pop up telling me about the taunt loadout screen pops up. Anyone know how to disable it so it doesn't keep popping up every time?

Thanks.

You have your config.cfg set as read only. It was what was doing it for me.

both my config.cfg files in cfg and in my custom directory are both not on read only. My folders are stuck on a blue square for read only in folder properties though.

I've been having the same problem as well, and likewise my config.cfg files are all not read-only, but the custom/config folders are, and whenever I set them to not be the changes won't save/apply.

If I try to go to the next folder up to make them not read only I get the same issue all the way up to my program files folder on my hard drive, so I don't think that's going to help.

I think I figured it out. I put

tf_show_taunt_explanation_in_class_loadout "0"

into my autoexec

EDIT: sky_ figured it out mid-post.

Add this command to your autoexec:

tf_show_taunt_explanation_in_class_loadout "0"

It should prevent the pop-up, but I don't know what was causing to re-pop in the first place, so there might be something else not quite right - any other issues?
