For some reason steam guard forces me to put in a code every single time I sign in/out but this time it's fucking with me

EDIT: fixed, wasn't accepting my "friendly name" for a browser for whatever reason but it seems to be working fine now.

If it asks you to put in a name for the browser, you have to do that before it'll work.

There should be a small box below those red letters where you need to "name" the computer you're on (i.e. home pc, or laptop) and then it should work.

When/why did they start doing this? I also put in firefox twice and it gave me that message again.

edit: it did not accept it until i'd entered it 4+ times?

at least 6 characters long?

actually i think this is a cookie issue? what browser are you using - if it's Chrome I don't think this'll work in Incognito mode for example.
