Try this one: connect 66.55.137.100:27025

That server seems to be working and runs mulch_dm. Not sure if you can change the map on it. Generally speaking, what you're looking for is probably servers that run mulch_dm, ass_dm, and various other duel and battle maps that are usually 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or some other combination (2v2v2v2, etc).

You could also see if you could find some of the maps listed here by searching on the web. The download targets in that archive aren't actually there, so you can't download any maps from there.

#12 Medic LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

Awesome dude, loved talking to him numerous times over the past couple years. Probably a very fast learner in the right team as well.

#1 Vand LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)

In order of preference: scout > soldier > medic. Ideally invite. I can play both soldier roles pretty effectively. I prefer scout over soldier simply because of past experience and wanting to become the best scout I can possibly be. I can also play medic somewhat well.

ESEA History

Only notable history was leading -bird noises- for two seasons in invite and being a part of -bird noises- for a season in IM/another season with TechDude, messiah, and friends in Open. I started out S23, but had to leave due to a number of reasons. S25 also went a bit weird with my team folding two or so weeks into the season, though I think it was mutually beneficial.

I have some CEVO, random tournament history (invite rejects, I think?), and other irrelevant history as well. I wouldn't mind playing Open/IM for the right team if things don't work out in invite.

#16 Grimm Scout IM in Recruitment (looking for team)

Pretty cool dude who was on the original pizzagon, if I remember correctly. For some reason I remember him playing medic, but regardless, solid player who would make a good contribution to any stable team.

Strongly recommend Varmilo. I've had nothing but success ordering from them directly.

Lot's of layout options from them too. I recently ordered a VA88M from them with nordic layout.

#7 Pop it or hope it in Q/A Help

Communication is a big deal for the contexts you are talking about. Aside from what pelt said about your pocket or someone else saying to pop it and therefore needing to listen to that call, you can't just hope that your team kills something without calling it yourself. You need to communicate, especially during messy transitions or situations that can quickly become unideal. One of the easiest things to be as medic is to be aware.

Also, keep in mind that the particular context you mentioned has a lot to do with specific teams. Some teams benefit from their medic popping early or "just-to-be-safe" during a transition. This is in order to get buffs to better deal with the uber disadvantage (usually) they face at that point and typically the medic plays pretty safe at that point while making sure certain players have fresh buffs at all times. Other teams benefit from their medic milking hard and gaining a lot from it (i.e. two people sacking into your team uselessly), even if their medic might end up having to drop. There's the bizarre case of a team's medic dropping uber and then the same team wiping the enemy team as well (I noticed this a lot when I played on -bird noises- with different medics across various seasons). Not a very logical scenario though and more a case of a team getting excited because of dropping the enemy medic and not taking time to push with their own heals.

By the way, not really related to the question at hand directly, but this thread made me think of the various bits of timeless advice Platinum gave on TF.TV a couple years ago. Some direct links:
