"Third time's the charm" is the quote being used by CappingTV with this year's LAN Downunder. After two years of reschedules and cancellations, it's beginning to look hopeful for the Oceanic LAN's return.

COVID-19 has finally cooled downunder. Touch wood. Please. (Frags by Uil)

LDU22 will take place on the 2nd - 3rd July 2022, from the GIC Esports Arena in Melbourne. The last time the LAN Downunder ran was in 2019.

Australia's coronavirus situation has finally improved meaning players from around the country are now able to travel interstate to attend the event. Precautions will be taken to follow the Australian Government's COVIDSafe regulations, including mandatory vaccinations for all attendees.

ozfortress will be hosting the registrations and tournament page for this year. Players can register here. This year Marketplace.tf and Qixalite have chipped into create a $2,000 AUD prize pool for players, giving more of a reason to get down and play on LAN.

To ensure that the rest of the world are able to tune in, CappingTV will be providing all the action from their studio in Melbourne.

Further information is available on the ozfortress thread and Discord. Sign ups are now open and will close on Sunday the 19th of June 2022 at 23:59 AEST.
