TwiggyEveryone I spoke to at LAN said b4nny is a dick. Would they have said the same if b4nny did attend?

Yes? Like what? That stance isn't some super secret whisperers just said behind his back, its pretty well established.

As for the article, well said and well written extine, but seriously for something this important you probably should drop the "X" memes for a single post.

Please, more of this.

I was really hoping that there would be more editorial or opinion pieces coming out of the community, I've been thinking about getting into it myself, this was a great read and extines opinion presents another interesting talking point that's been kind of forgotten and brushed under the rug by froyo, a community leader like b4nny, he is one like it or not, should do his best to support tf2 lans (even when not attending) and should take CLEAR stances on issues like these, he's the most well known tf2 player and arguably the best one, he's the face of the game and he needs to act like it.

gemmEemeswas it really necessary to capitalise every single x?
he didn't do it in a quote in paragraph 3. i think that's the first time Ive seen this grammar eXception used.

Whoops sorta. I view quotes as a gray area, I dunno if I'm consistant on other people's names, sometimes I throw in a capitalize sometimes I respect how they have it. It certainly was a little awkward to do for such a serious piece, but it's part of my online persona. I dodged some eX words because of this conteXt, like for eXample I could have more frequently used the phrase seXual predator. Pretty silly :/

yak404yao extine didn't know you were a rowing coach. How can I improve my 2k?

Practice and weightlifting, technique is important but it kind of tops out quickly on an erg.

I got close to a Sub-7:00, pretty decent for a collegiate light weight. A friend of mine I rowed with in High School went on to row for oXford in the boat race and compete for Australia in the Olmypics O_o

BumFreezeI think tftv themselves are guilty of the weird glossing over that you say in your article. whenever there is roster moves due to some controversy or drama, the tftv report will not even mention it at all. this is the first mention from tftv news on something that was pretty newsworthy. "shade fills in..." article doesnt even mention nursey's name or circumstances etc which is incredibly stupid, and the same thing has happened in the past with drama related changes iirc.

pretty sure non opinion pieces try to avoid drama to try and remain neutral. also misreporting drama is probably the worst thing that could occur, as a claim by a random can be refuted but a claim by an organization has more weight to it

remember when we had power rankings and there would be discussion and drama about teams every week for every div and the articles would encourage it rather than stifling it

yes, then maybe he thinks you are dicks too and does not want to support you by helping to advertise your event, and all of this shit reinforces the vicious circle

was kinda expecting benny to not to cut nursey if she wasnt banned from rgl so that might be why he isnt commenting, like how do you rationalize not kicking a pedo from your team

I don't understand this point. Why does people thinking and saying "b4nny is a dick" make him act like a dick? Hes an adult, he can make his own decisions. On top of that what events are you even talking about, he has been pretty dismissive of anything that doesn't directly benefit him for years now.

That shit stopped like ESEA S14 if I remember correctly. And now with RGL not having stats easily available it's impossible.

WeirdChamp thinking a team has a responsibility to the community for something one person did. It's not like they keep a log of what everyone does while not scrimming. They replaced their medic what else are the supposed to do? Pay for background check on their players?

EDIT: "When it comes to the competitive TF2 community, players should be limiting conversations about seXual activity or drug use to close friends. Competitive TF2 is like all-ages basketball at a YMCA, both topics would be clearly inappropriate to discuss on the court." But the game is rated M to begin with. No one should ever have to censor their own personal streams or views for people to begin with. If it's an official RGL or league stream that doesn't want to associate with those types of subjects, then I can understand. But as far as I know people don't discuss that during matches.

When the New England Patriots had a player get arrested for murder they put out a statement and offered to exchange all the jerseys free of charge. They didn't just refuse to talk about and pretend it never happened like b4nny.

Sound logic, definitely no assumptions being made. Comparing the new england patriots to froyotech... do we even need to delve into that?Pretending it never happened would be playing with the same person, not altering anything, and banning anyone that mentions nursey in stream chat... which clearly isn't the case as far as I know.

Well thats beside the point of this topic, but I think there is psychology evidence about this negative reinforcement circle that can explain such a behaviour.

On your second sentence, I do agree. But as you said, 'he's an adult, he can make his own decisions'. So there is no point in judging.
