Lack of communication between the production crews and the players has been a longstanding issue in TF2 and this really needs to change.

This is a two way street.
The production crew needs top players to show good matches and get good viewership and the players need the production crew to gather support, get fans and get in the light of sponsors.
I've seen both sides of the issue after playing in invite for several season and after working with the production crew. There is a lack of communication on both sides and it needs to be addressed.

Speaking on the topic at hand.
Froyo couldn't make it, its not their fault. However they could have told the production crew earlier and let them know.
They could also offer an explanation of why they couldn't make it to the tournament for everyone to see.
The issue here isn't that they bailed, the issue is that everyone doesn't know why they didn't show up.
Hundreds of people were expecting you guys to be there, just let them know what happened yo.
If people wanna be mad that real life shit happens then let them be mad. Its better than not saying anything and letting people come up with reasons as to why you couldn't make it.

As for the production crew. There need to be stronger efforts to reach out to players.
We need a community manager that has every single invite player added, or have a chat group with every single invite player in it for easy communication or something.
This stuff has been going on for far too long. These two groups rely on each other, there needs to be stronger communication between them

MedRed is also a part of the community and has the right to publicly not accept Ashes apology just like you and I have the right to publicly accept his apology.

Med also has the right to express how he feels about the situation from his own eyes because Carters actions and Meds response(pulling his donation) caused all this. They are the two main people behind this so you'd expect him to express his viewpoint on the issue.

And yes, you do also have a right to not agree with MedReds posts but there is a line between "I've said what I think on this subject" posts and "My posts are just becoming fuel for shitposters and mindless drama guzzlers to feed off"

This thread turned into a shit show because for some reason none of you can accept the fact that MedRed didn't accept Carters apology, something that has nothing to do with any of you. Sure he could have kept this information to himself but you all could also just be fucking adults and accept that he has the right to feel differently about this than you.

And what do you honestly expect when this amount of money is involved in this situation?
In any other esport or sport for that matter, sponsors would have pulled support over something like this unless the issue was resolved. It's their fucking money, they can choose how to spend it how they like. If they are not happy with an apology, get ready to make the choice to either drop the player or drop the sponsor.
This is real life, not some stupid "get everything you want" made up fantasy.

It was upsetting to hear that all this was going on. Carter messaged me privately with an apologized and decided to make a public apology owning up to his actions and taking responsibility which I like. I've met Carter several times. He's young, easily impressionable and said some stupid shit after hanging around people that make stupid fucking jokes.
I've forgiven him and MedRed has chosen not to based on other private interactions he has had with Carter.
Too bad. Accept that he fucked up and move on
