This wasn't an off-the-shelf app, this was a custom interface that was made by one of the Essentials/ESU staff specifically for the event, I believe it was hooked up to both the streaming PC and the game server during all of the games and I think that was necessary for it to have the functionality it did. Works similarly to what has been used in CS and Dota etc. but iirc it was original code.

This has been a problem since like vtv/tftv drama in i46 or something so a sudden solution seems unlikely.

That being said, it did feel like the source of a lot of the 'we're not gonna work with __' came from dashner (at least from the tftv side of things) so now that he's been purged perhaps it's a good time to revisit this topic?

somehow got moved into our cyber security team as a security analyst after two years of being an IT support apprentice, few months later im on a graduate apprenticeship where i go to uni for cysec 1 day a week and work normally otherwise, and in all of this my company is super supportive

it feels like im actually getting involved in things rather than being told what to do and having suggestions shrugged off, the tech side of things is interesting and being back in a school environment feels way more natural than before
