2014 was the last time we saw a LAN officially being held in Asia. It saw a considerable amount of attendance and after that, the dream of having another LAN in Asia were snubbed.... until now. Like the World Cup, we are finally back for another edition of the fabled AsiaFortress LAN! 2018 marks the 10th anniversary of AsiaFortress, so why don't we celebrate it with a LAN?

Mark your calendar, AFLAN18 will run from December 15th to 16th, 2018. We haven't revealed the venue yet, but don't worry about that! We have a potential venue already being considered/locked down, so from that end we're basically all set. So, are you interested to basically travel halfway across the world to attend what arguably the biggest event in Asian TF2 this year? Well if you're mad enough, or you're actually in Asia, below is link for the registration form. See you in Singapore!

From Asia to EU (for me is roughly 350-400+ ping), so it'll suck maybe. But there was an Asian player (kcot) who played EU HL from Asia IIRC

bearodactyldont mean to poop on everyones pancakes but what does this sponsorship even achieve, it's not like there's league fees to play in etf2l or anything lol

Not just league related, in long terms this could bode well in helping them let's say, LAN fees, merch, publicity, and probably like what Faint Gaming did, it can make other orgs (maybe smaller orgs perhaps) consider sponsoring a TF2 team.
