#1 LF Flank scout mentor (Main) in Mentoring

Hiya my team is main this season and they're nuts! I'd really like to get better at being able to support them by getting better at decision making, focusing the rights targets, knowing if I should go behind or making them look at flank and calling to get in choke for free etc etc.

I'd really appreciate anyone giving tips or advice!

#101 faceit is killing na tf2 pugs in TF2 General Discussion

Faceit is sooo close to being great. The first issue is that people OF ALL divisions aren't playing because they might have to med. The second issue is more complex... low-mid advanced players aren't queuing while simultaneously amateur players are disproportionately worse. Not because the div is stupid, its because the decent amateur players get ranked up to advance then disappear from that environment. Its brain drain on the community's main practice ground.
My ideas to fix it are:

Add class selection first to get people interested in pugs again.

Cultivate the population of low to mid advanced by giving them a place to play (ie chance of inter-division matchmaking if pop is too low). That way instead of amateur players staying in an environment where everyone is bad, they'll have someone literally teaching them in their pugs. Plus it'd give them more of a reason to climb to advanced.

#135 bring back pugchamp in TF2 General Discussion

Faceit is very close to being great but I think some reforms need to be made for advanced and maybe high amateur. Most players who move up from amateur to advanced significantly reduce the number of pugs they play. This is creating a deadly space of territory where growth isn't encouraged. Like b4nny said: “Every division depends on each other, and they must coexist.” If invite wants continuous new blood, players of all levels need to be able to spam pugs.

If people stop pugging, the community stops improving. Most of my friends are stuck between doing 600 dpm in amateur, or advanced pugs with 50%+ invite players. One solution I see is growing low/mid/high advanced players. Maybe if low advanced was able to queue with high amateur, we could teach them to play better AND give them a place to practice once they’re in advanced.

Whatever solution we pick, something has to be done.

#53 Would buffing bhops benefit TF2? in TF2 General Discussion

no.
EDIT: I just remembered how people used fps_max 49.254 for consistant speedruns or fps_max 53.93981377 for inconsistant lucky speedruns. Those frame maxes were for 100 tick though. It just encourages bullshit overall.

He gained a lot of confidence / aggression at lan. In my experience true confidence can kill anyone. Mastrej is becoming more solid every day.

#23 unskilled lft low im roamer in Recruitment (looking for team)

Unskilled is an S tier teammate regardless of div or game. He's not at rest until he's the best.
Whether its being better than the roamers in his league. Or getting the most advice from mentors. Even knowing the sickest rollouts/timings in xyz. In fact, it irked him when I figured out what was wrong with our mids quicker than him.

Displays the perfect amount of ego/anger.
Better airstrafe than most invite players.
He's also good at: Rockets, roamer, hunting, not dying.

#58 be lft :) in Recruitment (looking for team)

Be's attitude has always been comically bad. Back when he was a bit worse he could never even finish pugs without ragequitting. I'm pretty sure more of his teams died than survived till the end of the season.

Be enjoys hurting people. He's broken and we all know it.
Very risky pick IMO.
