#23 Best monster flavor for TF2? in TF2 General Discussion
funhaver1998hi TheFragile, i respect your opinion a lot. what is with the original hate? can you explain the choices you have made in this

I don't think the original is disgusting or anything, it's just not as good as the rest. The taste is a little bitter, which is probably my biggest problem with it. For everything else, I'll give a brief opinion.

All Khaos / Punch cans - perfect and can do no wrong.
Rehab red - idk just the best tea flavor easily. Apparently it has apple juice.

Rehab lemonade - Not too sour or sweet. Just right.
Ultra zero red - I can't tell if this is the old ultra zero red or the newer ultra zero watermelon, but have a taste that I don't really get tired of, idk.
Ultra sunrise - Kinda like orange juice? I love having this in the morning.
Rehab peach - I like most peach drinks, and this doesn't miss the mark.
Ultra zero white - I've had this flavor the most, and I've never grown tired of it. The taste is almost like Sprite, which I never really thought of until now.
Dragontea green tea - The Dragontea flavors were a pretty interesting twist. I'm a fan of any kind of tea-like flavor for any kind of drink.

Ultra zero black - This actually isn't that bad, I'm just not the biggest fan of anything that has a black cherry taste.
Ultra zero paradise - This is a little too sour for me. At first I really liked it, but how sour it is kinda put me off of it. It's fine if I have it every once in a while.
Ultra zero citron / gold - I can't tell if this is supposed to be citron or gold flavor, but both are probably in B tier anyway. Gold is supposed to be pineapple, and while I love pineapple, this isn't quite what I had expected.

Ultra zero blue - Has this chalky taste that I really can't get over.
Ultra zero violet - The grape taste isn't bad, but I'm just not the biggest fan of anything grape flavored.
Monster original and lo-carb - As I said in the beginning, it's just a little too bitter to me. I'll drink one if I'm at a hotel and it's the only option available, but that's basically the only time I'll resort to one of these.

i know this is a bit pushy but i would enjoy a youtube video. like personally i feel like i would flip that tier list directly around.

tbh I'm way too lazy to make a YT video on this lol. It's just a preference of taste, so I'm not gonna think anyone is weird if you disagree with the list. However, you can absolutely be wrong about a cereal tier list.

Bonus: the best monster flavor ever, but it's been discontinued many years ago. :(

#14 Best monster flavor for TF2? in TF2 General Discussion

I've been drinking Monster Ultra Zero daily since like 2011. I've tried just about every flavor, but I can't remember what I thought about all of them. The only ones missing from this list that I've recently tried are Ultra Rosa and Ultra Fiesta, which I'd put both in A tier. The java cans are also good. I haven't had a Khaos can that wasn't delicious af.

Lately I've been more partial to Mountain Dew Rise, though.

#15 Reputable keyboard manufacturers in Hardware

There are three different Corsair keyboards that are used in my house. Absolutely no complaints with them whatsoever. When I had my first Corsair keyboard back in like 2014, the only minor complaint I had is that there were some issues with the lights acting a little weird. That has since been fixed via firmware updates a long time ago.

Great switches, software that doesn't act like total shit, and great quality keyboard all around.

#16 How many hours you got in this game in TF2 General Discussion

Keep in mind that Steam did not keep track of hours prior to March 2009. My profile says 2,200 hours, but I'm closer to 4,000 if I had to guess.

#13 EDITOR CALL for "hundred." in Videos

To go off the previous replies, I remember that many years ago someone had to send subtitled and/or decap an older version of TF2 on a disc because an update came out in the middle of them making a video. It should still be possible, but may take a lot of effort.

rktGODI just don't know how I feel about a dude with 13 championships being below ppl with less championships :\

There are about 50 players that have won more Stanley Cups than Wayne Gretzky. I'm also curious if you think that Robert Horry is better than Michael Jordan, considering they played in the same era but Horry won one more championship with Horry playing just one more season. In regard to TF2, do you think arekk deserves a better ranking than clockwork?

If this list (or any kind of sports ranking list) was all about championships, then no one would care to have a list sorted by descending to have tery inform everyone that current/alumni froyo fill the top 20, lol.

aieraBooomstickis thefragile just not on the listlikely due to his input being used on the list

My input was not used on the list. I gave a few suggestions with eras, "the medic problem" (read the original hub post about it), and occasionally gave tery some lore on OG players for some of his writeups, but I didn't rank a single person on this list.

I was going to help rank players on this list, but I backed out before any of that started because I'm in the middle of moving.

Also, I have absolutely no idea what the final list looks like. I'm learning about the list just as everyone else is, lol.

I should have clarified what I meant by "more on the line", so my bad about being vague about that.

What I meant by that is being able to qualify for LAN, as well as trying to attract big gaming orgs like Pandemic, EG, and Complexity. Unless there is a Smash Melee-esque kind of revival of interest in competitive TF2, then no big gaming orgs are looking at TF2 right now. While TF2 should have been in the same kind of light that CS:GO has been, all we'd be doing is discussing for the millionth time about how Valve doesn't give a shit and dropped an impossible-to-fuck-up formula that they had going for CS:GO.

#9 What if you are guaranteed to be a bad person? in Off Topic
AimIsADickSince there can technically be infinite universes; there will inevitably be a universe where the person is bad.

This is not necessarily true. Just because there are infinite universes does not mean every fathomable outcome will happen. You can have infinite apples but no oranges.

jetzI didn't really mean it as an anti-destro post, and more that tery seems to think its more impressive to be good between 2008-2010 than e.g 2019-2021, which makes no sense to me.

Golden era has more weight to it than other eras, which is outlined in the hub post he made to preface all of this. This is not only an issue of comparing players from different eras (which is always impossible), but in TF2's case, comparing eras when competition levels were different in the volume of players as well as what's on the line.

A similar case I can think of is that Khaos is considered the best Marvel vs Capcom 2 player in the world right now, but he only started to make a name for himself about 7 years ago. The number of people playing MvC2 by that time was far less with not nearly as many tournaments, so it's hard to put him in the top 10 all-time list. Once again, such as the problem with eras.

edit: I'm literally outlining Tery's structure (that I guess many of you didn't read) and I'm getting downfragged for it, lol. You don't have to agree with Tery's structure, and I don't even 100% agree with Tery's structure, but just be happy that it's content for a game that we care(d) about. This is all subjective as fuck at the end of the day, and it's fun to have banter about it.

dMenacewas it ww- or wonderland that was the bball king

They were both extremely good at bball, but wonderland was known for playing bball almost exclusively, whereas ww- played it on the side.

lucrativeOkay now I’m just confused how these rankings work. All of the old EG players are getting ranked but somehow phelon was just an honourable mention even though he actually won Cevo and had multiple top 3 placings including a top 3 in esea and played wayyyy more invite level through the ages than any of his teammates listed from the same team. Sure yaug had an insane season but is 1 season really worth snubbing players that have similar achievements but have consistently played in the upper echelon of tf2 for literally eons more?

Maybe I’m wrong

I agree that phelon should be ranked better than he is, but I think yaug's placement is justified. Yaug had a few really good seasons, but I think the issue is that phelon always got overshadowed by an insanely dominant pocket (paladin and yaug). Maybe it's been a bit forgotten on how much of a force phelon was back in 2008 and 2009, but he definitely deserved much better than honorable mention.

Doughy#1 Everyone except medics hate
#2 Medics hate
#3 Everyone hates

#5 Middies hate

Also, there's no reason to outline this unless you're trying to protect your own ego.

#1068 unpopular tf2 opinions in TF2 General Discussion
DoughyThe reason is because raymon knew what his whole team was thinking without them having to say and shade knew what only b4nny (and perhaps blaze and clockwork) were thinking without having to say. The problem is ofc that shade didnt know what the other members of his team were thinking whereas raymon did. Noone now a days is either smart enough or spends enough time talking to their team about what they want to do to actually get good in the same crucical way.

I love these kinds of takes, because there's absolutely no way for you to verify this despite it being such a strong conviction.
