mthe only consistently bad thing i notice about esea servers is they seem to constantly stutter on rollouts
everything else has been a fluke/never happened more than once
Likewise. Four seasons of Open for me and this one is the first time I've ever needed to move to a different server because of it being unplayable / slideshow.

yukiOur game was 20(?) seconds away from being a 2-0, correct me if I'm wrong. Sure they didn't have their core, hero was apparently lagging a decent amount of the game, it was a much closer game than you indicated by saying "They put on a good attempt...". /rant
Thanks for putting the time in to do these write ups.
Ruwin casted this right? I remember tuning in for a good amount but admittedly had scrims or a match or something so I wasn't able to catch the whole game (and Ruwin's VODs are forever so my crappy Internet isn't of much help). I know it was close as evidenced by the frag counts and I will do better in phrasing things / giving credit where credit is due in the future.

Crashing Problem

I thought updating my HUD and validating / restarting fixed the problem but it was only temporary. Yesterday and today now I've crashed in the middle (rather than the start). I've kept revalidating but I thought Steampipe was supposed to fix this whole validating business.

Just a snippet here, but in seasons 12 and 14 Gravel Pit was week 4. In Seasons 11 and 13 Gravel Pit was week 5. Disparities of one week isn't that bad, and I don't recall the Gravel Pit week of season 12 being as horrendous (albeit I was not active that season)

I had to play this week's matches with two ringers. This of all maps. Finding scrims was impossible enough. I should've just forfeited both matches and saved my ringers' money.
I'd take a 5CP / KOTH over Gravel Pit anyday.

How do I get more well known in the tf2 community?

Pug a lot, find people you like and be friends with them. Ringing can also give good experience and opportunities to build friendships especially if you ring multiple times for the same team. Just talking to people from anywhere helps, too. You never know. During last summer after my first season of Open a friend of mine wanted me to make a UGC Steel team with him to teach him the game, and through mentoring that group I've met some of the nicest people who are my closest friends now and I couldn't have asked for better. Have a good personality, don't be a shit talker or rager, and be dedicated at this game and getting better. Most of all don't forget what this game is all about: fun.
