#1 Calling All Old School (EU) Public Players. in TF2 General Discussion

Hello Friends! Myself, Shintaz and some old school gamers have decided to create a Public / Community server in the vein of the old Uberium/Hampshire Heavies servers which were good fun and semi decent skilled pub servers.

From what I can tell looking at the server list (having not played in many years) decent public servers are few and far between plus casual appears to be just a Bot hellhole.

The map pool includes popular competitive and public maps, filtering out all of the rubbish (apart from tc_hydro which if you can remember how it works you'll win a prize) no random crits, no random spread and a bunch of quality of life server mods.

Putting the finishing touches on it at the moment but feel free to add it to your favourites. Its hosted by the beautiful and benevolent Dutchie Arie over at serveme.tf

#147 serveme.tf - free server reservations in Projects

Any action to make the average Russian person question why this or any sanction is happening is a good idea. People need to protest en masse and question the inhuman things their government is doing, when people start to have their comforts taken away maybe then they'll start to stop ignoring things that are going on. From the way the economy looks at the moment not being able to play on some TF2 servers will be the least of their worries :-(.

TwiiKuuI will see you lovely international people at this international LAN of global proportions

- Insomnia has been THE TF2 LAN since forever, it will always bring back peeps like TEZC, etc
.

NEWS TEAM... ASSSEMMBLLEEE

Insomnia is always an expensive LAN but its been the main community LAN for 10 years now (fuck me it has actually been 10 years :o). Treat it as a time to make friends and be merry TF2 in Europe wouldn't have been so busy for so long without them in my opinion.
TEZC coming to drink all your beer!

#48 After i58, do you think tf2 lans will go? in TF2 General Discussion

TF2 is strong due to our community of amazing people :) better than any game in e-sports history. However this community is getting slightly smaller each lan/year, matchmaking is great but its too late, the game is too old, valve will not give it the financial backing to make competitive big, there is no point in their eyes as they make far too much money out of cosmetics.

TF2 won't die as long as the great people support it from casters to admins to cameramen to artists to spectators. Play for fun and for the enjoyment of creativity don't pin any hopes on this game going big. Pin your hopes on TF3 on Source2.

#22 ShaDowBurn’s Fundraiser in TF2 General Discussion

Someone needs to put a ban on these fundraisers popping up left right and centre. Its not fair to exploit these 14 year old autists for their pocket money just so you can get a new pc to play overwatch. Get a job and stop scrounging you Gyppo.

#164 i49 in TF2 General Discussion

If Enigma is willing to put in the work and he's an intelligent guy who knows what is required to get this off the ground and also willing to announce somthing in the next couple of weeks, i'd say he's got a pretty good chance.

You need time to hype the event and then when you reach your goal you still need time to then book the travel and the TUP pc's without it being too last minute to make it so expensive. Last time it was bank rolled by the honorable gentleman Sal so we didnt need to wait for all the money to roll in before booking stuff, i'm unsure if Enigma will have this available to him.

Hopefully eXtv can release their i46 documentary in time to add to the hype train and show what an amazing LAN atmosphere we have in europe and really get the viewer engaged and "part of the lan" themselves. This will provoke people to donate and if donated last time will feel their money went toward somthing great.

If the yanks do get to i49 then Epsilon will have learned from last year that they actually have to practice and be "professional" and we should have some much closer games.

Hey Guys

I-series lan god here \o/. Basically 3 months was not enough to plan the last event to involve the Americans, 2 teams was perhaps over reaching, the 12 computers arrived an hour before the games were due to start but we got there in the end. There is no way to quantify if i46 was a success/failure as people measure it in different ways. I really don't think anyone expected massive sponsors to get involved and breathe life into TF2, i think everyone just wanted to make history and get EU vs NA at a lan and provide decent coverage of it and thats what happened.

If we try to get NA to i49, the planning needs to start *now*, Myself, Sal, Extine and others put a lot of effort into it last year and it was bloody hard work. If we don't get someone competant to lead this fund raising effort with clear defined goals etc, its not going to happen. Less procrastination about how awesome or how pointless its going to be and more someone stepping up to organise it.

Stuff is in the world for the Australian guys to get over to i49 but nothing concrete again so dont raise hopes too much.

Shit or get off the pot kids!
