#19 Advertising tf.tv through....engagement rings. in TF2 General Discussion
FogThe $100 would be better spent on donating to LAN teams IMO

This, but also if we were to do it, I think the best time would POSSIBLY, be after a big update of TF2 that introduces new item sets and etc. for each class. But there's always accounting people never getting the update when they want too or having to wait, unless we waited maybe one day. If only the ring was out before the F2P update, that would be the perfect time possibly to do this.

#20 Shootmania on Steam in Off Topic

I've played this game, and couldn't stay in for even an hour. The settings are quite limited and the gameplay is just a bit weird that you're better off with Quake. It calls itself ShootMania but only has like 3 guns(Rockets, Rail, and some nade/nuclear?). There's really not much to it and seems to not be worth buying really IMO. Pretty much what ukm said.

#23 Further expansion/coverage in Site Discussion

I think it'd be splendid if we could expand to Asia and Australia. That way we could become more global for TF2. Many other esport games like SC2, LoL, Dota 2 and etc. have somewhat banded together players/teams in different regions and was able to spread word of their game a bit more and attract more. It'd be worth a shot to try this for a possible better status for TF2. But both AU/Asia do need good organization and coverage for this to happen. Possibly eXtine could make a new video on a discussion about this and see what others think.

#70 tf2 bhopping in TF2 General Discussion

Just a thought I've had when reading the thread, even if it could be implemented to Comp TF2, there would definitely be a change in the game due to the speed, but what if we considered how this would affect new players? Players that are finally choosing to start competitive and they find out not only having to learn class roles in a team, what they should be doing, and etc. but likely to also have to learn how to bhop also. They might feel that TF2 may be way too different and competitive TF2 would be too much/hard for them and might give up/quit. If we add bhopping, there'd probably be different steps to a certain rollout despite they may have just started learning the current rollouts.

#11 SteamPipe in TF2 General Discussion

Ultimately, this is a good thing generally. Faster boot times, map loading, and etc. sounds great, all we can hope is that everything goes smoothly and Valve doesn't mess up during the process. But I'm really glad Valve remembered about the games and will actually try to improve the system. Just remember to save your custom files!
