#566 Overwatch, who got in? in Other Games
fahrenheitKanecowelp I got scammed by g2a and they wont refund my money
theyve been doing that for a while

g2a is a scummy company, they also kill indie devs

Yeah, they accepted my refund only to answer back 3 days later saying the refund had been cancelled with no explanation whatsoever. I already started a dispute on paypal since it's been 4 days and they haven't answered any of my support tickets...

Really sucks Im 40€ out of pocket and can't even play the game....

#75 Lawena v4.0 is out. in Videos
TwistyI really hope to see that guide at some point, I love you workbearodactylI definitely second this, I've always wanted to try using HLAE but the workflow seemed too complicated to learn

It might be a while until I have some decent free time to work on it, maybe only mid-summer, but I haven't forgot about it! And thanks for the support!

dellortYou can always manually backup your games files then copy the lawena config files into your tf folder when recording with HLAE. Having it built into the tool would definitely be a nice feature though.

It is built in already, that was the point of my post

MelonTFI just wanna know how you manage to use lawena and hlae at the same time, I can only use one or the other

Not sure if it's launched on the full version already but I'm using a preview version Quantic made for testing HLAE support before porting it to the public version, this is how you do it.

#14 Losing Hope In competitive TF2 in The Dumpster

The game isn't even that special, yeah it's kinda fun but the only reason for those numbers is the shitloads of bags of money blizzard has been dumping on its promotion.

Unfortunatelly Valve's structure doesn't cover the concept of advertising, or customer service for that matter.

#10 Golden Cap replacement Brainstorm. in TF2 General Discussion
cirloKaneco...Much like how extra time works in football (soccer) matches if they're tied...In extra time teams can score more than one goal. You mean GC works more like Golden Goal (old football rules) or penalty shootout.

I meant as a way to untie the match, but yeah. (and it is in no way similar to penalty shootout which is pretty much a lottery) But, now that you talk about it, would be cool to have a golden cap with no winlimit but timelimit 10, that would probably be a good change.

I think golden cap works just fine. Much like how extra time works in football (soccer) matches if they're tied. Nothing inherently wrong or "anti competitive" about it.

#294 Comp.tf - A competitive tf2 wiki? in Projects
cirloToday i've updated all the Premiership OZF 15 page, but regarding the Playoffs bracket i coudn't find the one that should fit. Could someone help me pointing me out the right form to use?

ffc (or corbt) is the right person to reach out to, he's probably the most knowledgable about those templates, I haven't delved much into those. And depending on the format it might be necessary to adapt a current template.

Since there's so many ppl interested, you can also give it to some i58 fundraiser or charity (ToTH) so they could draw it as a perk for donations.

#107 TF2 Players that went on to greater adventures. in TF2 General Discussion
yukiPendaThornpathMonkeySuitJerax with liquid just won the second significant dota tournament in a row. Definitely the most successful ex-tf2 player in any esport. second in a row? they got 2nd at ESL manila
what level in tf2 did jerax play at? I never realized he used to play tf2

If you check the OP you'll see he played in div6. I don't know if he played any further or not, though.

he played div4

#68 A rant about Competitive tf2 financial crisis/art in TF2 General Discussion
eeenot to knock you but you're offering a very small subset of a small community a very specific product. Setting up a "tf.tv" patreon would likely be much more successful just because we could bill it as paying for the forums, the servers, the casts, and the streams. I'd pay $5 a month for a gold nerdstar tbh.

There was such a thing before, it was called tftv plus and in case you haven't noticed it didn't really work out. Also tf.tv forums, servers, etc pays itself. Afaik enigma makes (or at least used to make) a living off tftv.

Now if you're talking about casts and streams thats another thing but then again I could say the same thing about that being a very small subset or a very specific product.

Maxi-Big youtubers have Patreons, streams have donations, I never understood why there was nothing like this in place.

You said it yourself. Big youtubers.

Patreon is very nice and all but it doesn't work unless it's at a huge scale. I've had a patreon for comp.tf yt channel (which has 4k subs) for like 6 months and I've only had 1 single patron in that timeframe. Pretty much the only tf2 patreon that worked/was sucessful was SIN's and he already has one of the biggest tf2 youtube channels.
