BY FAR the greatest stab I've ever seen, and one of the most amazing plays I've ever seen in an Invite match.

#1 Question about interp and interp ratio in Q/A Help

From what I've gathered, the optimal interp for hitreg and stuff for projectiles is 0.0152 and for hitscan is 0.0303 (not 0.033?).

My question is, whats the best way to set that?

Set cl_interp on 0 and use cl_interp_ratio 1 for projectiles and cl_interp_ratio 2 for hitscan? For instance, this gives me 15.2 ms lerp on soldier and 30.3 ms lerp on scout according to netgraph.

Or should I manually set cl_interp to 0.0152/0.0303 and also set cl_interp_ratio to 1/2 depending on projectile/hitscan.

My connection has 0 packet loss and basically 0 choke. 85mbps down, 90mbps up, FiOS, 10-20 ping to east coast servers, 60-80 to west coast, 90-100 to europe. Never any packet loss or choke.

Sorry for the somewhat convoluted question, just curious what others do.

#331 b4nny v thalash in TF2 General Discussion

I tuned in right as this started. His viewer count was around 360-380. By the end, the viewer count was well over 600. He's essentially the ambassador for this game and this is not the image you want to project to people.

#52 PSA: Hacker collecting TF2 player IPs in TF2 General Discussion

Fairly certain I was a victim of this, off a TF2stadium lobby or two that used serverme.tf a week or two back. I looked through my logs.tf and 3 lobbies recently used it. Yesterday I did a lobby and not 5 seconds after it finished my internet almost completely cuts out. What is normally a 85 mbps down, 90 mbps up connection, went to 3 down and 25 up. It's not my internet cutting out. In the 10 years I've had Verizon FiOS (even when they were just DSL), I've lost connection exactly 3 times, all due to natural disasters (Hurricane Sandy, Irene, etc).

No concrete proof of course, but its just too damn coincidental. The problem did not go away until I released my IP address and reset my router.

#122 ESEA S21 Playoffs: froyotech vs. Street Hoops eSports in Matches
gecksI know some people may have been against the fact Buick and I acknowledged the person that caused all of this tonight, because in the end that's what they want, but the reasoning behind it was sound in my opinion.

At that point, everyone knew what was going on, and why it was happening. It could no longer be played off as simple internet issues. So, we thought it would be best to address it considering there were 2,000+ people watching. As I said on stream, I'm sure for many of those people it was their first time experiencing competitive TF2. I believe it was more important to let those people know that yes, some twat is ruining the match this evening, but it's not typical of TF2, and it really is a great game, here's how to get involved, etc etc.

you guys handled yourselves perfectly.

https://twitter.com/4G_b4nny/status/720114046666674176

from b4nny on twitter: ESEA admins ruled that the entire series has to be replayed from 0-0. Probably the fairest ruling. Fresh start. No more BS hopefully.
