https://item-steam.net/ is a phishing site of some kind. Idk exactly what's going on, but since signing into it, trying to deposit items to marketplace.tf has directed me (in browser) to trying to deposit them to a bot impersonator account.
Fortunately I didn't lose all that much but yeah jesus christ, don't want anyone with more valuable stuff to suffer the same fate. I won't be blasé enough to entertain any sus requests again.

Edit: After speaking to another victim of this scam I believe there are possibly several other phishing sites being used by the same guy. Don't know their addresses sorry.

check your browser extensions, do a scan with something like malwarebytes. It probably installed some type of malicious chrome/firefox extension

another scan with malware bytes picked it up. i'll keep being vigilant, if it continues to be a problem i'll try system restore and reformatting as a last resort. thanks for the help.
