i've been playing on my surface pro tablet and it only gets about 40 frames and i hate that i don't really take my tablet with me everywhere i go now since it's just sitting at the corner of my room now.
i was thinking of going to wal mart or best buy to pick up a cheap gaming laptop with 144 hz so i can have a smoother game and also be able to take my tablet with me more often
what am i looking for when buying thiissssssss
also im assuming it would be cheaper to get a laptop since it's an all in one package as oppose to getting a desktop

im not sure youre going to have a great time finding a "cheap" laptop with a 144hz or even 120hz display

why not just get a desktop for 2k instead

alternate strat: spend 1k on desktop pc, spend 1k on a complex transport system to game on the go

ok but the question still kinda stands; what am i looking for so i can play tf2 with like 150 frames
this system would only be for tf2 so it doesn't need to be tricked out or anything

bashygalaxyalso im assuming it would be cheaper to get a laptop since it's an all in one package as oppose to getting a desktop

A laptop that can run tf2 at 150fps is almost certainly going to be more expensive than a desktop that can do the same.

you can build a desktop + get a setup for like half or maybe even a third of a price of a laptop with similar specs
shit, buying premades is still cheaper

to answer your question i have an i5-4460 and a gtx 960 that are both 3 years old and i run tf2 at ~200fps and you can probably get a setup for that for less than $800

There are plenty of good options under $2k just use amazon bro:
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=laptop+144hz
I would definitely recommend asus and sager/clevo/eluktronics

But at the same time I would recommend doing what other people are saying. If you have $2000 to spend you could also find a nice 144hz laptop deal on ebay/amazon and then spend the remaining $800 on a decent prebuild if you're not extremely tech-savvy. Just make sure you talk to setsul if you do.

get an external monitor if you're going laptop.

i never got this about people, is portability really a concern? cant you just get a 100 dollar netbook to take notes on and browse insta with and then go home and play every game on max on ur 800 dollar desktop at 144+ frames?

nobody is going to suck your dick for having a cool laptop im sorry
