it would be great if tf2 got everything he mentions in the video :D. but its sad knowing that little to nothing will be done about the aforementioned.

When you spend 13,000 hours playing TF2 but act like you don't have time to watch a well edited 10 minute video about TF2 LULW

Honestly none of this matters if valve continues to give us the silent treatment. Most of these points have been reiterated for a long time but valve would rather keep us in the dark. Like they added turbine back into the competitive map pool to the satisfaction of absolutely no one and we've been complaining about it ever since. 10 months later and it's still there.

I think having just one spokesperson from the development team, who can interact with us on daily basis, could massively boost the communities morale

i dont think the casual 6s mode is a good idea, tf2 is not big enough to split into so many different queues, and if you need to learn the format, thats what the placement games and low ranks/mmr are for surely?

also giving new players every item for free might just make them only want to play comp cos they get all the items when they arent good enough for it yet. they would also probably not understand all the unlocks instantly given to them and would pick something bad, so maybe just lock them out of mm until they have earnt some achievement weapons or something?

CrimeSceneIm not joking here, do we know how big the TF2 team is? Like I see people memeing "only 5 guys working on TF2" I'm curious to see how big the team is.

last mentioned count was ~15 people, 5-6 of whom are coders. but due to the way valve works as a company that number is in flux because people can just "roll their desk where they want to be"
robin walker also said once the game has never had more than 20 devs working on it since release, for perspective (though comparing some of the earlier updates to more recent ones I find that hard to believe)
some people fall into the trap of thinking the coders are the only ones who do any real work, which is probably where the "5 devs" number some say comes from, but without sound and visuals, coding can't produce content on its own

Whenever Valve promises they will become more vocal, it's only for like a couple months. Or when they fuck up bad. I wish they had community representative who would post every month to answer questions or something.

When the csgo team whipped out the R8 update and the following shit storm ensued the team actually really shaped up for a good while. Even the new mp5 weapon was put only in casual matches before being completely rolled out.
The tf2 team seems to never clean up their act no matter how many times they get berated.
Seems to be more of a issue with the devs personally then valve its self
