I've been using Discord overlay for quite a long time, but recently, it stopped working. All my settings have overlay on, and I asked some of my friends and it's also a problem with quite a few of them. Anyone has a solution?

Discord has never really been consistent when it comes to its overlay. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it tries kills your cat for no reason.

Try changing your in-game resolution a few times with discord running. Doing that sometimes fixes the problem for me, but not always. Another thing you could try is to just relaunch the game until it works. This could take a while, but it should work eventually.

There aren't really any sure-fire ways to fix this problem. If it persists, and if you can't fix it for whatever odd reason, just use mumble. It's less resource intensive, is open source, has better sound quality, and it even has a working overlay. It also hasn't tried to kill my cat...yet.
