EemesAs you can see from this thread while there are arguments for and against both maps they are in no way as widely approved of as the stock pug maps (process, gully and snake) . In keeping with this, while not necessarily removed, they should be subjected to a similar level of scrutiny as other maps more on the fringe of the pool (sunshine, cardinal, reckoner etc.) and not simply included because they were last season and have been for a long time.

don't agree with this idea

pug maps are pug maps because they're the easiest to play and have fun on. If you're basing whether the community should accept a map on how good it is to pug on then goodbye product because that is true fucking misery on pugs, far more than granary or badlands is

Badlands is awful unless you play it at the absolute highest level and even then it's still absolutely shit. The map is waaaay too difficult for new players to attempt to learn, it's way too easy to get backcapped cause of 20 million flanks, the flank has a literal fucking resupply cabinet (????), and if you run a sniper in badlands choke congrats it's almost near impossible to push out of last. The map design is way too outdated for the modern meta and the spire is actually mega awful (just being so high up it's hard to cap 2nd pushing out of mid and last). It is the most absolute bottom tier of maps I have played, I would consider it on the same level of awfulness as gravelpit. It's seriously such dogshit. The only people I know of who think badlands is a good map are people who think they know what they are talking about in tf2 when in reality they barely know shit.

Granary sucks because of the stalemates. Even in the pro version mid fights are still too much of a deciding factor on who will roll the rest of the round. To explain more on this, you don't even have to wipe on granary mid to pretty much have to face the fact you're facing a giant uphill battle. It's SOOO much easier to make pushes happen in the enemy team's 2nd than it is for them to make a push happen into mid. The only redeeming fact of this is that you have to push granary 2nd essentially two times.

While we are also talking about maps snakewater is also overrated but not nearly as awful as these two maps. I have had more fun playing reckoner, cardinal, sunshine, and metalworks over any iterations of badlands and granary. Fuck these maps.

badlands is my favorite map to spectate primarily because of how amusing it is watching teams at all skill levels come up with new and inventive ways to fuck up pushing last

man im just saying if you guys get gpit back it's going to be gone in a season since you guys are going to realize how much it sucks in 6s
also im not seeing how viaduct takes no strategy compared to gpit when gpit was give up a completely (expect for the very very very very rare times teams did an ironman), put a sniper at spawn to watch c, then turtle on b with an engineer until blue gets lucky with an uber and wipes you
im not against ad as a whole, there was that one map that started with a c ugc was trying that was interesting, but gpit was trash
at least viaduct is fun to scrim, gpit is just slamming your head into a wall

imo snakewater is the most boring map in 6s. badlands and granary are probably more flawed design wise but playing snakewater is actually painful

also idk why people think viaduct is just a dm map...it requires more coordination than all the other maps to be good at it

I mean the game has changed vast amounts since it's removal 5 years ago, and if anything it will break people out of the hard and fast scouts rule everything situation and potentially bring some more interesting gameplay and situations.

At best it potentially revitalizes the game mode and at worst it's replaced in a season, but not like that hasn't happened a million times in the past, (coalplant, Ashville, standin etc.) It's a win win.
