For some reason my game feels like garbage in pugchamp. Pubs/dm/scrims feel smooth, but as soon as i join a pug it's like i'm playing on half of my fps.
Using mastercoms cfg with the recommended launch options.
Any ideas?

It might be something to do with the server's networking settings. Could you try setting these in your custom.cfg:

net_splitrate 1
net_compresspackets_minsize 1024
net_maxroutable 1260
net_maxfragments 1260

On that note, does anyone know where I could access PugChamp's server configs so I can try to reproduce it for testing?

I understand this is some sort of meme, but I'm going to respond to it anyway.

Why on earth would I ever stop helping people because I'm accepting donations that go towards directly benefiting the config? I'm sorry that servers for machine learning cost money, I wish they didn't, but they do, and even more so for the low latency predictions required for determining recommendations on the fly for people using the app. Some of the money will go towards improving the config for everyone, as data will be analyzed together and the aggregate findings can be used to find generally good values.

Or, I could just get donations and spend it on ice cream, an unusual or something else entirely for myself, is that something you prefer? I certainly don't feel comfortable with doing that. If you still really think it's bad for me to ask for money to improve a config that I have already spent thousands of hours making and supporting, then I think you should consider your reasoning for that, and tell me about it.

i was one of many who were talking to yeehaw at the time of his post, i can assure you the post was simply just a big funny as it was agreed that the config generator is probably pretty fat if you want an optimized config and dont care for how it looks (be it bad or good)

It didn't really help, i still feel a huge difference when joining a pug after dming for 10 minutes.
I've noticed my ping jumps from the regular 50 to 70 and stays there for like 5-10 minutes at a time, could be related.

Could you record a video with net_graph 4?

I pm'd you the vid like a week ago, still have this problem.
The stuttering actually persists on other servers if i don't restart tf2 after a pug, idk if that helps you

are pugchamp servers sv_pure 2 or sv_pure 1 with an extensive whitelist/blacklist?

The only thing I can think of in terms of performance difference between pugchamp and a scrim for you is probably the fact you have a browser open in the back ground or possible discord vs mumble. The next time you play pugchamp join mumble+ the server and then alt+tab out and close your browser or at least minimize it and close discord if you have it open.

I also wrote quite a bit on resolving microstutters there might be something that can help you in there
