With the third week of Invite halfway through its course, a new sponsor has entered the playing field. Mentality Esports, who currently house rosters in Halo, Fighting Games, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, have announced the acquisition of Team Invite, making them the fifth sponsored roster in the ESEA Invite division.

Team Invite comprises mostly of players who have played in Invite before, with some players being new to the division. Catface was originally a part of the roster at the beginning of season before stepping down and being replaced by yosh on the role of Scout.
We reached out to Max, one of the team’s Scouts, to comment on his team’s new organization.
The head of Mentality Esports messaged me a week or so ago saying how they’d like to venture into TF2 and they were interested in sponsoring our TF2 team. We’re really excited to be playing under their organization and hope they stick with our team and TF2 for future seasons.
The team gained attention at the start of the season for taking down New God Flow, who was originally a favourite to win the match by a landslide, in a 4-2 victory on Snakewater. The team later went on to play in overtime against Velocity eSports on Sunshine, barely losing at a 5-4 scoreline.
With the acquisition, Mentality Esports’ new roster is now:
- Scout: yosh
- Scout: Max
- Roamer: kawa
- Pocket: Froot
- Demoman: mae
- Medic: Daffodil
