Wrap assassin is insanely underrated. It hits for nearly 70 damage plus bleed at long ranges which is enough to decide a mid on it's own. Sure you can't build but if your combo scout doesn't feed you can easily get away with almost never needing to build on flank scout.

The loch n load is actually very very good on certain maps where u can spam down a narrow corridor/the map is very open.

i wanna see people try the buff banner more tbh, i see why mostly the othher 2 banners see use but i feel like it could do alot, could be fun to see experimentation with it

I think the amputator is pretty good in games where people aren't likely to give you lots of chances to get ubersaws.

the banners are kinda underrated just in the sense that people don't really run them even tho the can be really good
direct hit is also mad good but people just think of it as a meme weapon, you can farm pretty easily so long as the scouts you're playing against don't have good enough movement to negate you with weird ass strafe patterns
also detonator is pretty broken on pyro but for some reason people use flare gun or scorch shot (which tbf is pretty good for spamming on certain maps)

the shortstop is stupidly good if you have decent tracking on maps that have mids that are super open and more midrange like process. doing 90 burst damage from your crates to enemy crates is always hilarious

the force of nature is better than stock when it comes to 1v1s since it not only does damage faster, but if you hit the first shot the second is basically guaranteed. And it’s really good when fighting projectile classes also if you can learn to incorporate the knock back into your movement. I once played against a guy who mained fan scout and he destroyed because he never lost a 1v1

the problem with direct hit is similar to the same problem as running a sniper, you're basing the team's success off of the ability of the soldier to hit rockets. when you go sniper, you're gambling he'll hit shots. if you go dh, you're taking that same gamble and if you miss every rocket your team was essentially a man down for the fight just like you had a sniper that missed. with regular rockets you can guarantee that you hit rockets, whereas dh adds in an extra level of risk and lowers your general consistency

i've always rated the FaN and wrap assassin
not only does the wrap assassin deal a decent amount of damage, if you hit the demo he starts playing like a bitch at mid lmao it's psychological warfare at that point

Stock sniper. You can miss and they can sometimes not see where you shot from, which is huge. Especially if they don't hear it.

I feel like the liberty launcher is underrated. The damage reduction isn't super significant most of the time (after one jump, you have the same potential damage in your clip), but the reduced self damage feels amazing, especially when paired with gunboats. I feel like it could be put to good use on maps with interesting jump/pogo routes, like process, snakewater, or sunshine. There are some stupid bombs I know that take 3 rockets, or 4 with a reload, but could potentially be used with the liberty launcher.
