Hey guys. So Reflecto, Faust, Cornpop, +1 and I thought it would be a good idea to make a HUD Creation Competition. There are currently a lot of cool HUD's already made we just think we can add more to the community with some of the talent all of you guys have. We all decided to throw $100 in the mix to make it a bit more appealing for everyone to try a new HUD. Here are some of the rules to follow before you get started.

Rules.

1. The HUD you make must be made from scratch, no copying already made HUD's although you may use them as a template.

2. All HUD's MUST be submitted to this thread with the name and the download like to the HUD. The deadline for this event will be (June) 06/10/18 anything sent AFTER (June) 06/10/18 11:59pm EST will be disregarded in the picking process for the cash prize. You may upload HUD's starting today.

3. You may only submit ONE HUD. So make sure its perfect when you send it.

Are you guys only looking at the player interface parts of the HUD, or will there be incentive to have a good spectator HUD as well (and is there castingessentials bonus points)

Yeah but as they are all comp players (like 99% of the people on this site), why would anyone really care about mann power, MvM, robot destruction, Passtime or whatever player destruction is.

Everything above those on your list seem like fair to request, but those game modes are played by such a small amount of the playerbase, that it'd be a waste of time to do.

Correct, the date is mm/dd/yyyy. And without talking to anyone else this seems like a great checklist.
Edit: also to save us time your screen shots should include each of these things so we don’t have to install every hud

I'm not saying they are required, but imo if you want to deliver a fully functioning hud, that keeps working after the contest has ended, can be downloaded by the masses and has a consistent overall look adding support for nice gamemodes might be nice to put some effort in.

The list I suggested is not the official required list of elements that need to be modified, it's just a general one you can use as a checklist when creating/modifying one, without specifying the menu/store/lobby/backpack elements, which could also be a thing for another contest.

And do not hate on MvM, that shit is legit and the default hud is disgusting to use there, please modify this when creating a custom HUD (you kinda have to when you mess with the scoreboard ;))

We just want to keep if fair and not have a couple dudes that submit 5 huds and have a huge chance of winning.
