Is there any reason you feel like you might be ready for im despite only having 8 matches in open on a team that died?

EvilDEATH1234possibly an IM team.

I guess lot of new players dont understand the skill ramp into im. Its reccomended you make playoffs in open before you make your move into im. And not just hop into a into it, unless you think you are truely ready. Good luck!

My open team last season was able to go head to head with other teams with records much better than our own. Our record is poor because we didn't have a stable pocket throughout the season and our scout quit at about week 5, causing our team to disband. Maybe claiming that I could play in (and I suppose perform about average in) IM is stretching my ability, but my team's record does not accurately represent that my team was better than many other open teams, nor does it show that our team scrimmaged against other higher-open teams for 10+ hours a week. This time doesn't include my own time spent watching high level POVs, watching my demos and practicing DM, as well as planning strategy with my teammates.

EvilDEATH1234snip

speaking from experience, I know it can be frustrating to feel like you could have done way better or played on a better team than you were on, but at the end of the day team leaders want results, not potential. If you look at my thread from s25 or any of muddyfudger's from the past 2 seasons you will easily see what I mean by this. Even if you are confident you could crush at a high open level, unless you are out in pugs getting the attention of IM players and open team leaders, or have really good networking skills, no one is going to believe your claims and simply think you are an ego player. I know it can seem like a waste of a season but play on a mid-bubble team this season and work your way up to high open/low IM the way many new to esea but still experienced players do.
