mouse cord snug/drag

I've dealt with mouse cord dragging for many years, but I finally got a mouse bungee which I hoped would prevent the cord dragging. Unfortunately, this did not entirely work.

You could just say "deal with it", but it's very uncomfortable and affects gameplay. I say this because the cord itself offsets weight balance. In addition, the dragging cord creates a lot of friction against my mousepad.

If you are wondering why the mouse bungee did not work, I am assuming it's because of the weight of the cord. If I put the length of cord in a position where there is no dragging on the mousepad, I have limited movement of my mouse. If I extend the length of excess cord, I get the drag. There's no winning there.

Here are some resolutions I have thought of:

Perhaps exchanging the cord. The mouse cord I currently have is braided. I am not sure if anybody else has noticed, but the weight of braided cords seem significantly heavier than cords without the braiding.

Getting a wireless mouse. I am aware wireless mice are a tad less responsive, weigh a little more and are more costly. I am willing to make sacrifices in order to gain weight equilibrium. The mouse I currently use is the Logitech G403, which comes in a wireless version. Has anybody used both mice, or the wireless version? I'd love feedback.

Getting rid of the braids. This is the least costly option, but the most strenuous. I have seen videos online of people removing the braids on cords, so I know it's a possibility.

I use the wireless version of the g403 and its really great. Havent had an issue with it. The connection is really good and the shape is soo good. I used a zowie za12 before and my g403 feels so much better. Battery life is also like 20 hours. Really recommend the g403

yeah the wireless g403 is really really good and currently I use the wireless g900 (mainly cos of the shape). Would recommend both, I think there are the new g900s aswell which are meant to be compatible with those charging mousepads, if that interests you at all, but id assume thats really pricey

Braided cords are awful, and Logitech ones specifically are notoriously bad. If you want to try you can debraid it yourself. It might look a little ugly at the connectors but it isn't very hard with a razor blade or pocket knife.

Wireless G403 is very good idea if the cable does bother you that much though. Logitech's wireless technology is incredible and there is zero discernable input/latency difference between their wired and wireless mice

I had the same issue & didn't want to bother with a mouse bungee and ended up getting the wireless G403 on Black Friday for about $50. Best mouse investment in my opinon

i had a similar issue. never tried a mouse bungee but i taped the chord to the side of my monitor and it hasn't bothered me since.
i taped it a bit higher than where a mouse bungee would be to give it some extra room for movement. i recommend u try it

get the g703, it's what replaced the wireless g403, many more features and it's the exact same price as the wireless g403
