Hi guys, i’ve made a fragvid and just got a few thirdpersons to add to finish it but lawenas not working and i just wanted to see if theres a way to get high quality footage using just the base tf2. also i recorded my demos in lawena at 480fps. is there a way to do the same in tf2. thanks

use F5 to take a screenshot every time you move forward a game tick, then import the screenshots as an image sequence into windows movie maker and render

you can manually backup your cfg folder somewhere, then use lawena's cfg folder that it would normally automatically use

lawena's cfg folder is in your lawena installation folder

then you'd have to manually set your host_framerate

then the binds should work as usual

how did your lawena break though, it should still be working

it could be related to the change in the newest version of lawena that requires you to have your movie folder in the same hard drive as the tf install

if this is the case see this thread

You need to set your tga folder to your tf folder or else it won't create tga files.

There's no great way to get good footage with just base tf2.

You can use hlae, it's fucking awesome here's how.
