With the recent announcement of the Rewind II LAN and ETF2L Season 29 on the horizon, Se7en have reformed their roster after a season of absence from competition. In doing so, the team has said goodbye to legendary scout Starkie once again and have welcomed back AMS to the team as their pocket scout.

AMS returns to the Se7en roster to compete alongside familiar friends at the Rewind II LAN. (picture by Ness "uberchain" Delacroix and Jasmine "Jasbutts" Ho)

Following their first place finish at Insomnia61, Starkie chose to depart from the team, citing waning interest and enjoyment in the game, which left behind a sizeable hole in the team as his unique playmaking ability was one of the many unique ways that defined the way Se7en approaches the game. In turn, Thalash will be moving away from the pocket scout role to the flank scout role where he aims prove himself against the best in the world, both online and on LAN.

Raymon’s new combo-partner-in-crime will be none other than seasoned veteran AMS, who has previously represented Se7en at Rewind and during past ETF2L seasons as pocket soldier (plus for a brief stint in ETF2L Season 26 as scout). Traditionally known for his pocket soldier play, the flicking finnish monster has dabbled in flank scout over the past year demonstrating a very aggressive playstyle pushing the class’ potential to the limits. He will be moving to a more restrained role as the team's pocket scout which, combined with his strong DM, could prove to be a formidable force.

Team leader kaidus had these words to say on the team’s goals at rewind:

I'm really looking forward to rewind. It was fun last year as a coach, but I definitely felt like I missed out on something big. I honestly never expected to be able to play a LAN again so being able to go to America to do that is pretty insane for me. I'm happy with the roster - as much as I miss Stark, AMS brings a new layer to the team that we haven't really had before. Naturally the goal is to win, but for me these kind of events are really just about promoting TF2 and giving the community something to be excited about for a change. Win or lose, it's going to be a great experience for everyone and hopefully we put on a good show.

Se7en’s roster for Rewind II will be:

  • Scout: AMS
  • Scout: Thalash
  • Roamer: Drackk
  • Pocket: kaptain
  • Demoman: kaidus
  • Medic: Raymon

This was my fault for not checking this. What was trying to be conveyed should be clearer now.

The idea behind using "reform" I believe is that AMS has played with the team previously, so for the most part this is a very familiar iteration of the team that's come together to play again. Still I understand your logic and where there would be questions that would be raised

Glad to see AMS is back :) Def one of my favorite players. Also, very sad to see Stark leaving TF2 (again).

Rewind won't be about the best teams fighting for the top, it'll be about Se7en's revenge on Froyo-tech

(Granted Froyo-tech makes it to Grand Final)

Rewind is never about the best teams fighting for the top. It's about the piss up afterwards.
