anne pro, you'll have to wait but shipping is free on ebay and from what i've read it's almost as good as poker keyboards (marginally more expensive) and definitely best keyboard for this price tag

With gaterons, it's a good quality keyboard for a very low price, a top contender for both best budget option and most bang for your buck. Would recommend.

It's still a good option with cherry switches, but it's a much smaller difference than the $20 increase would suggest. It'd only be worth it if you want cherry clears (which are very different from gateron clears) imo, but if you don't already know you want them they're pretty expensive.

I think I'll opt for the gaterons, does it matter which specific gateron switch i choose

evgleI think I'll opt for the gaterons, does it matter which specific gateron switch i choose

It all comes down to preference, there is no best switch.

Red is light and linear, good for gaming
Brown is light with a tactile bump, a middle between gaming and typing
Blue is a little heavier, clicky and with a bump, best for typing
Clear is the lightest and buttery smooth
Green is heavier blue
Black is heavier red
Yellow is a middle between red and black I think...

If I could choose I'd get the yellows because they're more rare

My current keyboard is starting to shart out so I'm looking to get a new one, does anyone have any suggestions?

-Budget ~$200, fairly flexible though
-Using browns at the moment, I very much like browns but I'd be open to trying similar switches
-Backlighting is a must-have, RGB or white-only would be preferred
-Preference to full-size keyboards

gmmk?

https://www.pcgamingrace.com/products/the-glorious-gmmk-full-size-pre-built-white

white/black color scheme, hotswap switches (on top of whatever ones you select), fully controllable RGB.

Probably a bit of a soy opinion, but I like the corsair K95 ($200), been using that at home for about a year and a K70 (~$100? Can't seem to find the older version I own online) for like 4 years and have enjoyed, pretty much identical body and overall design. The software is good and the build is pretty nice (I really like the brushed metal), despite being a bit pricey. They should have most of the major switches but when I was buying a while ago they were out of browns
