I delivered pizzas for Papa John's for a few months and an extremely stoned guy tipped me $20 for an $11 order because he and his buddy didn't feel like doing the math.

back when i worked in an ice cream parlor when i was 17 i made an older woman and her daughter a couple of banana splits and they were extremely picky with everything they wanted

i gave them the best service i could because they were older (probably 75 and 55 respectively or close to it)

turns out the mother was just declared cancer free that day and she was so happy that i put up with them that she tipped me $50

Was asked to do catering for the restaurant I work at, never catered on my own before. The hosts of the event were so happy with my performance and service they tipped me $50,

boss also tipped me $10 for gas, but that doesn't count

Never worked a job that led to me getting tipped(though I did get 5 bucks for making a cheeseburger just right at mcdonalds lmao) But I have tipped as much as 150ish percent for excellent service before.

My younger brother was at a wing place and didn't have enough cash on him to tip. He told the waitress that next time he was there that he would tip her. She obviously wrote that off in her mind that she was never getting that tip. 2 weeks later he was there, tracked her down and tipped her 20 bucks. Made her night.

About a year ago I was at a dairy queen and of the 5 or so employees working there was one girl clearing working harder than the other 4 people put together. I asked the cashier to have her come to the front counter. She was extremely confused but came up to talk to me. I handed her the 5 bucks I had in my wallet and told her I could tell she was working extremely hard. She told me she was having an awful day and thanked me several times. She nearly started crying and came around the counter to give me a hug.

$400. it was a table of like 18 dudes and their tab was close to 2 grand. when i dropped off the check they all put their credit cards into a hat and the last card to get pulled out had to pay the whole tab.

also got $100 on a $30 dollar tab one time.

I delivered pizzas for a cornerstone pizza shop and whenever businesses would order for office parties they would always tip like 40$ cause it was company money and they didn't give a shit. Pizza tips are pretty sick cause i do the same amount of work no matter how big the order is and I get more money anyway.

I used to work during summer time on this gas station and once after I closed up the place and was about to leave, an older couple stopped me and asked if the place was still open. I said it wasn't, I just closed it, unfortunately. They were hungry and would have wanted to eat something, so I told them that I could go back and sell them some coffee and bread. They were super thankful and tipped me 30€.

Never worked a job that was tipped, but my factory job that I worked all through college (and a year and a half after) - they gave us turkeys on Thanksgiving, hams on Christmas, and "incentive" bonuses at Christmas that usually came to ~1,000$ which was all fucking great. Every 4th of July we'd get some kind of item that was summer themed, like folding lawn chairs - this one *really* nice rocking outdoor chair that I still use constantly lol.

someone wrote "here's a tip, get a better job!" on the receipt. hell, i guess i took his advice to heart, and later that day i became the ceo of the biggest company in the world. i never found the man who gave me that tip, but if i do, he'll have my profound thanks.
