i found one unhelpful reddit thread mentioning this issue a year ago so it's a real thing. basically tf2 doesn't recognize mouse 4/5/6 in the keyboard options menu so i can't bind that to voice. i have barebones logitech setup so i don't think that's responsible, but it could be.

any ideas?

I was having issues with this on my g502 so I bound the button to f10 in the logitech software and bound voice in tf2/mumble to f10. I've found almost nothing uses f10 and haven't had any issues with it so far.

wait where's the 6th button on the mouse, i can only find mouse 4/5

also, it works fine for me, but i'm on linux. so i guess it is a logitech software issue. maybe your buttons are set to be programmable?

@2 thanks, this worked! i tried it with a different key and it totally didn't but f10 is good. much appreciated.

@3 g502 has a thumb button in addition to the back/forward buttons
