Teleporter Cost Bug

Ever since the Meet Your Match update, teleporters were changed to only cost 50 metal, but I have this bug where in the Construction PDA UI the cost for building an entrance/exit still displays 125 metal. The problem is that this means that I would need atleast 125 metal to build a teleporter that only subtracts 50 metal from the amount I have. I know that not everyone has this problem as I've seen people in videos that have teleporters that cost what they should so if anyone has any solutions to fix this then that would be great. I have tried deleting my tf folder and then verifying game cache but the bug still stayed, and switching to the stock hud did nothing either.

I cant watch the video so idk if its covered. Does the bug stull happen if you try to build the tele from console? Command is "build 1" iirc

You can do it successfully using the 'build' command, but yeap its a bug.

I was running stock hud for the past few weeks and still had this bug with stock hud. I installed an updated hud yesterday and still have this bug. If anyone has any info on how they fixed this please let me know.

turn off steam cloud, delete ../scripts/items/items_game.txt, verify integrity of game cache

If you have a custom scripts/objects.txt to have a modified explosion animation for building destructions, simply update the Cost value to 50 for OBJ_TELEPORTER

If you have a custom [i]scripts/objects.txt[/i] to have a modified [url=http://www.teamfortress.tv/25647/no-explosion-smoke-script]explosion[/url] animation for building destructions, simply update the [i]Cost[/i] value to 50 for OBJ_TELEPORTER

Ah, thank you. I had no idea that it was a script that would be interfering.

Thanks! I had to unpack my vpk and put the files directly in custom to edit it, though. - For anyone else that needs further help. I used GCFScape.

Edit: I've also linked this thread in the description of my video showing the bug so hopefully more people will be able to fix their issues.

Hello, i did the same thing but when i saved and opened again, it was still 125 metal. I use microsoft notepad and i save before closing. But when i open the file again, it stays at 125 metal. pls send help
