Major bug in Steam Mobile? Can't sign out?

To recreate this issue, sign in on a Windows 10 computer and on an Android phone using the latest app version. Talk with people on both PC and Mobile, and then sign out of your PC. Wait a few minutes, and do the same on mobile. Fair warning though, doing this will almost certainly bug your account. Recommend using an alt if you have one handy. Also, Steam Guard needs to be enabled.

This seems to basically bug your account so you're always online, but set to away. I experienced this shit in the past, but managed to find a fix by forcing Steam to sign me out on all devices. This time around, that isn't working. It keeps telling me that I'm already signed out, even though I'm still appearing as away.

I've contacted Steam support, and should hear back within the next year or two. However, was hoping somebody else on here had a quicker solution? Any messages I receive when "offline" are apparently lost in the ether, as I never get them. So this is a huge inconvenience.

What I've Tried

I've sign out of all of my devices, and powered them down completely.
I've cleared app cache and force quit.
I've uninstalled Steam on mobile. Even with Steam totally uninstalled, it still shows me as online.
Reinstalled. Same issue.

Help?

Found a potential fix.

Spamming the living crap out of the online/offline button on the mobile app seems to reset something, and allow me to go offline... for a bit at least. It pops me back online a short while later, and then seemingly puts me offline again 30 or so minutes after that.
So, I guess the solution is to get angry and spam?

valve has shifted from making games and developing state of the art engine software to creating micro-economies and engineering virtual reality shit that you need to mortgage your house to afford

what a shame

if what someone quoted from an interview with an unnamed valve employee is true, gabe does nothing but play dota and talk about virtual reality while he's at valve hq so it's really just a free-for-all on what projects get developed and what sits in development hell

so shit that won't make nearly as much money in the long run (tf2, steam mobile app (which is free so it shouldn't), left 4 dead 3 apparantly) as virtual reality or micro-economies just sits on the backburner and gets passed on continuously to the small fry devs (probably why every tf2 update we get is fucking broken, they probably have interns and receptionists coding the updates)

fuck valve software
