why does this look like bulletstorm

also you guys have to realize that nexon is just the publisher. apparently this is the developer's first project

I've been playing the beta and it's a fucking blast. None of the classes seem blatantly overpowered and for the most part the abilities aren't nearly as annoying as the ones in overwatch. The one exception I can think of is the auto aim one shot kill rocket ult.

It's not going to be the next big thing, but it is fucking fun. Add me if you want to play.

edit-Oh and cliffy b is in charge of it so that's cool

Played a bit during the beta and it was really fucking fun. Its basically the game i wanted Overwatch to be.

Lets just hope nexon does not fuck it up somehow.

how does it run tho? so many of these games are ruined for me because they don't run as well or feel as good as a source engine fps.

Running an i7 4790k and a gtx 1070 with the game on lowest settings I never notice myself dropping below 200 fps. I might try moving my settings higher to see if I notice a dip in performance tf2 has just made it habit for me to tank settings in every game. There is some lag when the round first starts but I suspect that will be ironed out. The movement feels good but it definitely isn't the same as source games. It might be because I only have a few hours in the game but the movement mechanics seem more reliant on resource management than skill but there are a few exceptions like the assassins grappling hook that thing is sick.

There seems to be a huge focus on dm so much so that I'm not even sure if they intended it that way but I love it. It feels a bit like tf2 in the sense that no class hard counters another class the same way they do in overwatch.

Edit-played a match with my settings on the high preset and I was sitting around 100 fps so now we know. Hopefully they can work on the performance but it's not like low settings are so ugly they make the game less fun.

Closed beta 2 just happened over the weekend so I figured it was a good time to bump this thread. Did anyone else play? What are your thoughts on the changes they made? I think the assassin nerfs were good, she stills feels viable but isn't an instagib with her blades anymore. I do feel like as players get better she will get worse though. Gunslinger nerfs were too harsh imo and and still feels extremely awkward to play but that's part of the learning curve I suppose.

Wraith is a fucking blast, extremely mobile with decent weapon. Good utility with the explosive blade and the shoot>slide>stab>kick combo is extremely satisfying. That said part of why he is so fun might be that he is on the op side. Titan and juggernaut seem to feel the same close range brawler role but titan pretty much does it better as far as I can tell with better across the map mobility and not needing to be point blank while also having the best ult in the game.

Performance is much better for me than the last beta but some people are having the opposite experience

Yeah enforcer is a tad strong if you can aim at all right now. Other then that the game is actually a lot of fun, its what OW should have been.

Also still got 3 keys if anyone wants in let me know.

It's very fun, but I'd like to see some more internal direction in terms of game modes to give it some structure. Right now it seems whatever mode you play still very much boils down to you and the opponents soaring around any and every part of the map in a chaotic DM-fest. That in itself is fun, but a gamemode that can complement that more-so would be key in making the game more than something you only play for a week.

I'd agree the game modes are far and away the weakest part of the game. Blitz ball is sort of a mess imo, with a clean flag pull it's pretty much impossible to not score in pubs. Maybe more coordinated players would be able to defend but as it stands it is terrible in pubs. Overcharge is dumb because you can hold the ball for 90 percent of the game but if they hold it for the right ten percent they win. Zone control or whatever it's called is pretty good though, the different terrains of each capture point promote a varied team comp.

Long story short I've had a blast in both betas and am excited for the full release.

I played it before in both closed and open beta, and while the gunplay is sorta addictive it didn't have much depth, plus it was kinda easy. Might be alright now though, not sure.
