A couple of us can pay fees but most of us are broke. I just had to take my cat to the vet and repair my PC so i'm not going to have any money for months.

If ETF2L did this there would be literally no teams at all

They have fees but then they have a prize pool. Seems fair.

idk about you but I think Se7en would greatly appreciate a 5k first place prize over €500

also thats only for invite, open and im are like $15/$20 per player or something like that
the winners of ESEA-Open literally win more than ETF2L Prem dude

Invite is a flat fee cause you get freemium, open and im you have to pay like 7 bucks a month (or 20ish for 3 months which is basically the whole season) plus the league fee which I believe is 10 and 15 bucks respectively
first place in open and im is $166.66 and $250 per person (respectively)
not a bad deal if you're winning, harder to justify spending $85 to lose to banny though if you aren't making playoffs (for which the minimum 4th place gets like $400 per person iirc)

edit: might be a good idea to include the roster & past experience or something so people have an idea who you are and why they should give you free money (dunno if you have a finalized 6 yet and i suppose it probably depends on if you get a sponsor and play invite because certain people may not be able to/want to play)

So you said some can pay, right? How much would you need in total? Or is the full $510 needed?

SidularSo you said some can pay, right? How much would you need in total? Or is the full $510 needed?ScrewballI promise my own winnings from this season if we get sponsored. I am fairly confident we could make playoffs.
If we don't manage it i will pay back what i can from my own IM winnings from last season when we get it. (placed 2nd)
Can't guarantee anything beyond that.
We don't need the full $510 (although it would be HIGHLY appreciated). The cost difference between Invite and IM is enough.

Who would want to pay $85/$20/$15 per season so that the top 1 team of a dead game would get 5k?
That's actually beyond retarded.

and the rest of top 4 makes 2k+
and 1st intermediate makes 1.5k
and 1st open makes 1k

wouldnt it have been great if you won $1500 for winning high last season?

HiipFirewouldnt it have been great if you won $1500 for winning high last season?

$250 per person, not exactly something to be proud of.
If getting money for playing a dead game means that I'd have to pay to play a dead game, then no, it wouldn't have been great.

why do euros whine about esea

specifically sentinel who continuously vomits up words like lpkane swooped his girl or some shit

we get it, you like etf2l and think esea is an awful business/league

if ur not gonna bring anything new to the table stop repeating urself

invites great as long as u place top 4 8)

theres also (and im sure exceptions for everybody exist) the fact that if u cant fork over 85 bucks for something that takes up at least 20 hours of ur week for 3 months then maybe ur priorities are fucked up and u should figure out how to work 85/3 bucks a month of disposable income into ur budget

sell ur freemium slots, do 5 dollar weekly demo reviews, mow a couple lawns, theres a ton of ways to scrounge whatever the difference u need

I think things like this could be really helpful for both the community & the team - depending on what your team is comfortable with, you could let someone spectate a scrim night/sit in mumble muted&deafened for like $5, demo reviews, mentoring discussions, whatever it might be - teach people who are eager to learn while also helping fund your team for this season/future seasons.

I'd also donate some $$ for teams who want to play invite but can't pay the fees personally, a TFTV crowdfund could be legit.

I am on a fixed income and my current circumstances (vet bills and fixing broken PC so i can play at all) have drained my ability to pay for anything for a couple months.
