I have started making videos about various game ideas that I think can improve Team Fortress 2, and was wondering if I could get some feedback on these videos and suggestions for topics, from the perspective of other, more experienced competitive players.

Thanks!

Here is what I have created so far:
Changing the Items System, and the benefits from doing so.

I think you should be able to see more on the scoreboard, like k/d and cap points for all players, like the csgo scoreboard
Because sometimes i pugs i feel bad about my skill because i see myself in the middle of the scoreboard, and after the game when i check logs it turns out i'm in fact top fragging and my team is just getting tons of cap points

1)gaining speed from bunny hopping is amazing but it allows for cheaters to destroy matches
2) grenades are completely broken just look at team fortress classic

Valve is simply not a good company, they do not pay much attention to ANY of their games, the best way for anything to happen is that the tf2 community takes matters into they're own hands

what that's not related to this topic the community can't change anything significant in the game itself

You can do that by clicking on people's names. There's a setting that lets you click the scoreboard similar to csgo

I've finished making the second video in this series, where I talk about a potential overhaul to the current tutorial please let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions for future topics or ideas. (A 'topic' would be a request for for me to try to improve the aspect of TF2 that you requested by thinking of my own ideas, and an idea suggestion would be your own game suggestion that I would try to build a case for) I have also updated the OP.

RagorBasically. At most the community can attempt to influence changes to the game through providing feedback...

This is why I always include the line "the possibilities are there, it's just up for Valve to take them" in this videos, to keep the discussion grounded in reality while also allowing for development brainstorming.

I guess you could make a toggle for that? It would be really annoying to have on constantly, though.

You get used to it after using it for a while, and you can do a lot more than just see stats, you can right click on their names to see their profiles, add them, block them, report them, and mute them

I haven't used that scoreboard mouse thing because I like being able to move while using the scoreboard, and I like to look around while moving.

I guess if it's that useful I could try to learn to do it.

??? Look at old cs, where bunny hopping was allowed and people could abuse the shit out of it and get behind enemies super quickly, grenades in tfc are really broken, and ctf is a flawed game mode in general

repeating the same thing i called you out on doesn't all of a sudden make it true

csgo still has bunnyhopping, congrats cheaters are in every game with or without bunnyhopping, theyre not exclusive

grenades 'really broken' in tfc is probably the vaguest and dumbest thing you've said to date and you havent given an actual reason yet

i have a suspicion you're just parroting things you read somewhere and you've never played tfc or 1.6

You are correct unf, he is simply talking out of his ass, as referenced by these posts a few weeks ago

When I read bunnyhopping I assumed he meant bunnyhopping with no speed limit, tf2 still has bunnyhopping but with a speed limit like in csgo.

I've always maintained that once valve decides to nix tf2 in favor of whatever they produce to take its place they will reintroduce grenades for the various classes. My official prediction right there.

They were great in TFC - in tf2, because the game is much chokier and slower just in general, it would be a nightmare lol.

They should update the main menu to have competitive tf2 news or something like that, like csgo and dota's main menu iirc

I like that idea. They could probably also incorporate how they have been announcing some competitive news already on their blog at http://www.teamfortress.com/?tab=news

Heck they could probably completely overhaul the main menu and put the whole blog and update notes in there so it's more like it's own whole client. (aka modernizing it) - and so new, young players (that might not know about teamfortress.com) can read news/patch notes directly

Stop dropping me crates from tough break that shit ended a long time ago ffs

Or maybe give players weapons through the drop system as they rank up in casual, with more and potentially better things being dropped if players are playing and ranking up in the comp matchmaking mode
