403 has much better buttons but is heavier. Take your pick.

g403, side buttons on the ec1a are utter trash, too much travel time, they feel weak
if you already have the ec1a and you're fine playing with it i dont know if its worth spending more cash on a new mouse though

the ec1a is way heavier than the g403

who even gives a fuck about side buttons when it comes to fps mice. it seems kinda silly to pick a mouse over another because of that.

the only reason i would ever switch to 403 is the sensor

also i can recommend rocket jump ninja's utube channel if you want some extra info bout mice

because i use side buttons a lot and i regret buying the ec2a, i should've looked more into it. i didnt think they'd be this bad

The g403 isn't quite as ergonomic as the ec1-a and the weight difference through me off a bit after making the switch, even with the weight in. With the braided cord and extra weight the g403 is still lighter, the sensor is amazing and the buttons are honestly incredible. I didn't know how much of a difference it would make but holy shit, it's like going from a rubber dome to mechanical keyboard. The mouse wheel feels like the steps aren't quite as defined but it still feels better somehow.

That said, I loved the shit out of my ec1-a (non-benq) and only switched because the mouse wheel started fucking up and I wanted an excuse to buy a new mouse. The ec1-a is a bit longer, at least it feels that way, so you can palm grip it a lot more naturally than the g403.

there is no reason not to get g403 unless you don't like the shape at all. i have an ec2-a right now and there are few minor issues that the mouse has (pretty bad side buttons and mousewheel, coating that my hand cannot handle and makes me sweat, sometimes the mouse clicks by itself when i slam it too hard on my desk). i recommend going for the wireless version of g403 as its probably the best mouse right now, the only downside being its a tad heavier but thats as expected from a wireless mouse.

Been using the G403 for a while now and I would highly recommend, especially if you have a larger hand like I do (21 cm x 11cm). Gripping as claw or palming it is pretty comfortable either way you go, and as someone who plays a lot of medic/CS, I really like the way the scroll button feels for bhopping if that's your kinda thing. The sensor has been praised by pretty much everyone and for good reason, it performs very well. Though it is a bit heavier than some other mice, I actually like the heavier feel as for doing things like flicking for xbow/rocket airshots it feels like I'm not going to overshoot a lot more compared to my old mouse which was about 15g lighter.
Couldn't give you a fair comparison with the EC1A/EC2A as I've never personally owned one, but the key differences people usually bring up seem to be a better sensor with a similar shape design and better M4/M5 buttons.
