This all reminds me of a time in high school when my gf at the time asked if I'd take her out to eat. We spent like every day together after school so this was a normal activity. Anyhow, we pull into a drive up because I'm cheap, and there were like 4-5 cars in front of us. Try to distract yourself by dooing something, meet friends, do something with your family, do some hobbies, etc. Going out with friends or play videogames while listening to loud music usually cheers me up when I'm sad. Don't just sit around and think, that's pretty painful at some points.
