So I just realised that I've had a PSP and nintendo ds and only own about 3 games in total. Never really got into pokemon (don't kill me plz) so I'm looking for some good games to play over christmas.

Any suggestions? Maybe give a little summary on what the game even is and why you like it :D

PSP:
Killzone Liberation - decent single player but especially enjoyable online multiplayer (probably not active any more though) and avoided the problems the PSP had with first person controls by simply changing to a third person perspective instead.

Initial D Street Stage - I got really into the time attack arcade scene through this. A difficult driving game while still being arcadey allowing you to pull off some unrealistic tricks to go faster (Eg the "Eraser" shift).

DS:
Mario Kart DS - again, time attack. I put so many hours into Yoshi Circuit trying to snake the whole thing.

Brothers in Arms - a surprisingly successful control scheme for a portable FPS, where the stylus is essentially the mouse. Pretty dated graphics by now though.

Monster hunter.

My biggest timesink next to TF2. Its simple really, you hunt monsters to get parts to make new weapons and armor to hunt bigger monsters.

i always thought valkyrie profile:lenneth was a solid psp rpg but it came out kind of early in the psp's life cycle so it gets left out

really good rpg with some weird mechanics, try it out

PSP
Dangan Ronpa is really good, but you need to softmod your psp so you can use the translation
Disgaea 1 & 2 if you haven't played them already
Tactics Ogre, definitely recommend if you like Final Fantasy Tactics
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, which is surprisingly really good for a portable MGS
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep is probably the best spin off KH so far imo

DS
Ace Attorney is the greatest
Pokemon
The World Ends With You has the best touch screen implementation I've seen so far
999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors is also the greatest

AW: Dual Strike is quite possibly the best game on the DS. Had over 400 hours into it and still haven't 100%'d it (though I ended up playing a lot of custom maps). Only thing it does not have is online play, otherwise I would still be playing it daily.

For PSP Final Fantasy Crisis Core sticks out.

For DS, the Pokemon games are probably what I was most into when I was younger, but since you don't like those, I recommend Mario Kart and...I guess it's still Pokemon but, the Mystery Dungeons versions were pretty awesome.

Just check out any of the pokemon games, black/white(2) or heartgold/soulsilver are probably your best options. Persona 3 Portable for PSP.
