Consider updating the maps, cp_metalworks_rc4, cp_snakewater, and koth_pro_viadcut_rc3 to the recently updated versions of rc5, g7, and rc4 respectively.

Anyone that's gonna miss gpit in ESEA, this might be your last chance to play it. Also, edifice is good, I'd love to see it get more popular. More or less a superior alternative to gpit as an a/d map in the same style.

I fully understand that you may be wanting to play different maps (gravelpit, edifice) to change it up, but I recommend using the same maps that ESEA is using this season because a lot of teams that are also playing in ESEA will want to practice the same maps/might have a hard time finding scrims for those maps since most other teams are practicing for ESEA. Just a suggestion

EDIT: Just realized that edifice is only played in preseason so it shouldn't really be a problem. You may want to replace Gpit with Coalplant but it is not big deal

Imo, they don't need to 100% copy the ESEA map list. Besides, I doubt coalplant is going to last longer than a season, so it'd be kind of a hassle for cevo to have to change up its maps every single season just to cater to players that are in both CEVO and ESEA. If they were going to change anything in the regular season honestly I'd say replace gpit with edifice.

CEVO was actually quite a lot of fun to play in. If you're a new team (or old team) bouncing between UGC and ESEA, I would highly recommend signing up for CEVO); you have nothing at all to lose, and the very big positive of potentially winning prizes. CEVO to me is honestly a much better choice than UGC.

The admins (and especially prostar / pipher) were by far the most responsive and effective admins I've ever talked to as well :)

Thanks for the kind words guys! Just wanted to give this thread a quick bump and say that team registration will be open for one more week until October 17th. As #2 suggested, we're going to be updating our map rotation to the newest versions of all of the maps.

If anyone is sitting on the fence about registering and has any questions about the league, let us know.

You can register your team at - http://www.cevo.com/event/tf2-6v6/?tg=55

BUMP. CEVO was really fun last season. Also it is free and offers prizes. There are only 9 teams at the moment and registration ends in 2 days.

I really hope to see more and more people playing this league, it seems to have priorities a bit more straight than ESEA as well regarding the people playing. Best of luck for this season and I hope you get a lot of sign ups, can't play cuz Im european tho :(

I know that CEVO may never be the #1 league in NA TF2, but I think we as a community can at LEAST give them a chance.

I'll talk with my team about it and see if they're interested - it's not like we're paying any money to sign up so there is nothing at stake...

CEVO could be an experimental league that works in tandem with ESEA. Teams that play ESEA could use CEVO as a place to test new lineups or tactics under match conditions without having to do so in a p2p league.

There's potential here.

I have a little question about this league. Why is there a single open division? I guess the answer is obvious in a way (not enough publicity / players and teams that want to play) but do you think if you eventually grew into a league with say 2/5 the teams as UGC 6s would you branch out more divisions?

I'm guess that if it got large enough they would.

pretty sure the reason theres only open is because only 8/9 teams have actually finished the seasons out

lets try and fix that

I really feel for CEVO. Everytime ESEA fucks up everyone's like "hey there's this other great league trying to get going let's play in it" and their admins gather the shards of their shattered hearts and hope once more only to be let down yet again by the unapologetic apathy of TF2 players.

ok well cevo has its history of a terrible terrible client, corrupt admins, super delayed prizes as well as incredibly hard to use sites

its more a lesser of two evils thing, if for some reason all the lanvite teams switched to cevo, im sure other teams would follow suit but for now theres just no point

The answer is exactly the obvious one that you suggested. We don't have enough teams registered to accommodate more than one skill division. If we ever have enough TF2 teams to support additional skill tiers, we'll definitely add them.

Yes! We have made quite a few improvements to the Paladin since our last TF2 event, and over 500 CSGO/DOTA teams have been using it without any issue in the s3 preseason.

Team registration ends at 11:59 PM CDT tonight! If anyone has any questions at all before the deadline, ask away and I will do my best to monitor this thread. The preseason ends tonight, but teams that are "ready" will receive their first regular season schedules tomorrow morning.

@PYYYOUR, we can't extend the registration period, but we can add teams manually for the next two weeks if you or anyone else would like to join late. If you create a support ticket at http://cevo.com/support with your team name and all members CEVO accounts (email addresses), we'll add you to the event manually and schedule makeup matches for the rounds that you've missed.
