my second g400 started to spontaneously disconnect and reconnect for 2-3 seconds every 5-10 minutes. thought it might have been a cord problem even though this wasn't how my old g400 stopped working, but got logitech to send me a g400s replacement. unfortunately the g400s has the exact same problem straight out of the box. I've tried a lot of fixes posted around the internet but none have helped for more than a few hours.

pretty much resigned to getting a new mouse. been using a wireless logi m510 with no problems for about an hour now so I want to blame either the g400 model or the gaming software that comes with it (not that disabling that has helped)

first thought was to get a deathadder but I don't want to drop 70 dollars on a mouse period, let alone before I know anything about it

anything that can stand up to/feels similar to a g400 would be excellent. sorry if this has been asked already, searched tftv with no relevant results. thanks!

how did you use the 510 my friend has one it was awful to use g400 is way better. You could try the g500 but it's pretty inferior sensor-wise however, it still has the same feel, sort of.

I would just ask them for another replacement while you decide on a new mouse honestly because their customer support is really nice you must have just gotten unlucky if the g400s had it without any use.

it's trash, I've only been using it for a day. dpi is locked at 1000, uses older software, and has input lag (like any wireless, I presume).

I'll try and milk the poor company out of another free mouse to test it, but I don't think taking another one will help. here's to hoping, though

The zowie fk is on sale on amazon right now for 66 dollars, but that may be too much if you don't want to spend 70. For your price range the microsoft wheel optical mouse may be a good buy. I know lansky uses it, and other people I personally know who use it all really like it.

Also look up the Microsoft intellimouse explorer 3.0, you may be able to find that for around 50 dollars.

When it comes to mice like the Zowie FK it really is what you pay is what you get.

I use the Logitech m310. It's pretty nice. Cheap too, nothing special. Just a left and right click with a mouse wheel.

This is becoming a weekly thing and quite annoying. Does no one know how to search the forums for the 132448908374 existing threads on this?

I use the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, and I love it. I also own the Wheel Mouse Optical, two great mice that I'd recommend as well.
