A bunch of friends of mine made a community called Hard Ass. Eventually we made our own pub server and we wanted to do a little competitive work to help get word out about our community. So we made a highlander team in Steel and won our first season and came in second place in our next season. After that half the team got tired of highlander and decided to do 6's instead and now we have a huge inhouse pub group that has been going on a while.

Some lady banned me from a pub server I frequented because she thought I was turning her clan against her and some other silliness. My router was dumb and I couldn't search through servers so I played tf2lobby instead and got on an open team a bit later.

i trickstabbed this guy named captain haruchi in a hightower server and he wanted me to join his platinum team. that fell apart and i ended up getting into 6s after a few seasons of highlander.

I found some sort of top 10 video for LoL and wondered if TF2 had anything similar. Here I am a year later on my first 6s team and loving it.

Followed just about everyone that came from the nom-nom-nom servers for about a year.
Like downpour (aka (::)Monster[EHCB] or something similar to that), Mangachu, ChicagoBread, and Lambert.
Then joined a couple of UGC highlander teams and finally started playing ESEA 6s with Playground Tactics.

All the comp players who played on the drunken brawl way back when I was an admin. Also, the terribles and harmonic inspired me. Biggest influence was volt.

Was this before or after tf2lobby was started? I remember someone tried to put a team together with people from MI (was that Smashmaestro?)
Shrugger/Gorilla got me actually involved, though frag vids from before got me interested.

I started watching Lange's stream when I was just looking for a stream of someone playing tf2. From there I found the other Mighty Duck's streams. And from there other player's streams, and from there NATF2 and TFTV.
