Drip a little bit of cold water drops on your head and chest and feel cool for a good couple minutes, then repeat when the effect wears down.

the301stspartanIf you point the fan directly at yourself you want to make sure that it's all clean because otherwise it flings bacteria and shit like that at you and can make you sick.

l0l

a fan will actually decrease bacterial growth on all surfaces by providing more circulation, especially an exhaust fan in a window as it brings in fresh air and generally will decrease the humidity in your living space, which will inhibit growth

A clean fan will do that. A fan that you just threw into your damp basement for 10 months after using it to ventilate the hot, sweaty air in that small room the whole summer equals a slumber party of bacteria just waiting to be hurled into your face.

Same applies to ACs btw, but more. Keep your AC clean.

Do you guys not have air conditioners? Even when it's not that hot outside I'd rather just keep my AC on to avoid the humidity. It's worth the extra cost to be comfortable.

Also use ceiling/desk/box fans to circulate air, and keep doors open within your house if possible. If you don't have a ceiling fan, you can get one for like $50 and install it yourself--it's worth it. Relocate your computer to a bigger room if necessary.

take cold showers instead of hot ones. you'll just wanna cool off afterwards plus the steam causes extra humidity which doesn't help.

Soak a towel in cold water and wrap it around your head

You bring forth false information, I am fucking melting right now. It was 30 degrees in the shadow today.

I usually just make iced tea or other cold drinks and open a window. Also stay away from other humans because they are warm, sticky and squishy.

Buy $20 desk fan from Amazon, put on pair of ski goggles for the wind in eyes. Works plenty fine for me.

That is, whenever I don't have AC.

This. Fuck having it on the 2nd floor. I'd be sitting there sweating my ass off and looking completely melted during scrims.

If you have sweaty balls, best place to go is Fresh Balls. Bat wings (when your balls stick to the side of your leg) no more!

Not_MatlockatmoNot_MatlockUnfortunately I have to play wearing a long sleeve shirt because otherwise my arm sticks to my desk's glass top which makes looking around very uncomfortable.Have you tried using a sweatband?I would need a sweatband that reached from my wrist to my elbow. My desk is L shaped so I end up resting my entire right arm on it when I play.

Get a shooting sleeve.

reillyMy window fan is right on my face as well, and I have allergies. Oops.

Also, I have to lower my CPU clock speed during the summer, otherwise my room gets too hot to sit in, and my cpu gets too close to max temp for me to be comfortable with.

How do you do this? I've been getting some bad temps and cutting back some performance for not crashing would be nice.

Why not an arm warmer? I use something similar in addition to a band to keep my wrist elevated from the pad (pressure and friction suck) and it works great.

If you have space in the freezer - no joke - store your clothes there. Feels great for about twenty minutes.

for me during the day i cope with it, then during the scrim time during the night when its colder outside i open up a window while i scrim. So by the time i sleep its a temperature that i can enjoy.

Drinking lots of water helps me the most. I'm supposed to have AC but my room is horribly insulated. Cold in winter, hot in summer. My windows face the sun half of the day too :(

I just pull the blinds half way.

Don't underestimate the power of fans either. Also avoid caffeine, because from my experience it kind of amplifies my feeling of whatever temp it is (winter I get super chilled; overheat in summer).

Listening to chillwave doesn't hurt either :) good summer music
