IGL TF2 Ladder League

IGL open ladder league for TF2 is now open for registration!

www.playigl.com/register

I know there was some hype when the owner of IGL came onto these forums and announced a TF2 division, so I figured I would remind everybody that you can sign up now, and should to support what seems could be a dominate force in competitive TF2.

Also I think its worth signing up just to tryout a format of competition other than the way it is played currently in ESEA, and to help TF2 become a more globally connected game , competitively.

Once they get their matchmaking system working really well I think this could be a great way to find scrims instead of using IRC. Should be great.

Altough the site is pretty sick and probably has one of the best user interfaces I have seen in a long time, it still has a lot of bugs, for example with steam integration.

It wont let me list as a free agent despite being synched with my steam account, idk what to do anymore. Other than that this looks promising, would love to play

Just wanna say I submitted a support ticket this afternoon regarding a free agent bug and they answered within a couple of hours, definitely looks like they are in to Win!

Thank you for logging this bug.

We've got some great features coming up for free agents, allowing you to specify your class & role, as well as a description. All this is targeted to be public within the next 2 weeks.

Is there any way to kind of pre-focus where our team goes (like a team survey where it asks where you think you are, the members of your roster, etc)

I love the matchmaking as I think I've said before, I wonder if they plan on having an informational feature where individual members clarify their main class so later you can consider implementing a way to find ringers for teams too?

Also it'd be cool if they allowed teams to screen ones they're about to scrim if it's really obviously too high or low. Maybe this is already a feature, I dunno.

I do have high hopes for this site though. If it doesn't pan out I might be interested in making a tf2-specific one. Doesn't seem like the guy knows much about TF2 if the system thinks points matter in it...you should consider signing up in the mean time though. There isn't much reason not to.

the UI does indeed look pretty slick. I signed up- hopefully this turns into a league I can actually be in due to my work schedule and the fact they have these quick play options.

This looks like an org. that will totally support TF2 as long as we show them we are willing to play for them. Really hope everything falls through, especially since the TF2 comp. community is so small.

kirbyI wish I could register, but my work schedule doesn't allow TF2 :(

That's non-sense! IGL has matches 24/7 365!

You can use our Quick Play feature to play in the hour match pools, or you can challenge a team for a specific date & map of your choice. It's the ultimate solution!

For the pool matches, you only play the team closest to you in points, and always within your skill tier. We also try to make sure you haven't played a a team within 2 matches.

Thanks for the support! You can help us grow by supporting our URL (www.playigl.com) in your steam name, joining our steam group & inviting your friends to sign-up and play. We can only do so much as admins, but you as active players can do much much more than us.

wezlyyyWhere did the 6s div go

Temporarily removed. We have to add support for multiple ladders per team. Currently the same team could not join 2 diff TF2 ladders. This feature will be added within the next 2 weeks, at which time we'll do a full 6v6 launch to compliment our 9v9 HL.

If you confirm that etf2l bans for OpenPlugin VAC won't be mirrored, I can have 25 teams signed up within a couple of weeks.

Sounds like extortion :P

I'll let our TF2 admins determine this... I'm pretty sure we'll be starting with a relatively clean ban list.
