Heads up for people who made configs with AdvSpec commands (not sure how many there are, if any):
If you're crashing the instant you load the config, you probably have "plugin_load addons\advspec" in it. Remove that and it should work.

Looks ugly for streams right now, imo.

Arie from VanillaTV tried it out when they covered the Dignitas cup: http://www.twitch.tv/readyuptv/c/2768321 7 mins in.

At 720p it looks ok, but downscaled to 480p or lower and it gets way harder to read.

Do you think i'd be possible to add a scottish resistance like outline on stickies. I often see casters wondering where a trap is and having the outline would make it far easier for them to point it out. Not sure if this is even possible but it would be fairly neat.

Hm if he did i'd hope he would chime in on the matter. Also maybe adding a little counter of stickies out next to the demos name on spechud? Would need to be out for longer than 5 or 10 seconds so it doesnt get spammed when they're bursting them.

This would be amazing but I think it would look like shit if they glowed all the time. If it's possible to make them only glow when they have landed (stuck) on a wall etc, that would be really helpful. If not it'd be nice to have some sort of alternate toggle so if it does get a bit stalematey we can toggle the sticky glow on.

I think having some kind of timer before they started to glow maybe 10 seconds after deployed or the demo was a certain distance from them (probably unable to do this)

edit: or have some kind of toggle to turn the glow on/off so when they're looking for a trap they could just toggle it on and quickly find the trap.

I would love to see a feature which would allow for binding keys to specating a player no matter what their name is. Spaces fuck this up and it sucks.

When I was doing the streaming for eXtv this was the only way I could get good camera shots consistently without clicking through all 12 players in rapid succession but since there was no plugin I wasnt able to do it very often.

unless things have changed since i was doing this this wont work for players with spaces in their name still, which would thus require a plugin.

Personally I would like to be able to see stickies and rockets at all times but that might look ugly.

That and I know that there are hacks that put hp on players so something like that could be feasible? And ammo even.

Not sure about ammo but target ids puts health on a player when you go over them.

Kinda yeah. The best I could find for an image is:

But health not distance if that makes sense.

I remember the Kritzkast talking about ETF2L having a thing where they would get screenshots of players and a guy got banned for having a wall hack thingy that let him see hp and distance.

Stickies
I had a version a while back that let you see stickies through walls like this. I thought SR stickies used a different type of outline so didn't look into it; they don't, so it could probably be added too.

The problem is this:
STV doesn't tell you where all stickies are at all times, they pop in and out like in normal gameplay or pov demos. So depending on where you're standing, one second they can be in view, then moving an inch to the side makes them disappear. On the other hand, you can place a sticky on spire, and see it through the wall from the steps at choke. That kind of inconsistency made me reluctant to include it.

I guess I should bring it back for people that want it, at the very least it might help casters have to look for them a little less. Just not sure having them potentially popping in and out on stream would look all that good.

Health bars
I do want to do this, just haven't got around to figuring out drawing on screen based on player position. There's a few code examples around, just need to take some time out to understand it. Toggle-able name tags aren't in for the same reason.

And since it was briefly mentioned above, I think STV does send ammo count. I need to actually check and see if it isn't just set to 0 or something silly, but hopefully it's there.

Got an idea/suggestion for you, I don't know how difficult it would be to implement though so here goes:

What about if a medic dies with a full uber, the text changes from their current medigun to "DROPPED!". With the idea being to highlight the importance of uber (and not dropping it) for newer spectators.

I'm a complete noob at coding but perhaps it can do it by detecting when the uber suddenly goes from 100% to 0%.

Some of you might have seen Arie's post about the medic info not working at i49 and that we were working on it. You then would have seen that it never happened.

On Thursday, with help from atmo, we had a custom version that was looking like this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/9z8zt1ihltghg5z/i49_med.png
When it was copied to the streaming computer, the fancy background worked, but the text wasn't there. We tried the public version that uses Arial, thinking it was a font problem, no joy. We maybe could have fixed it by updating DirectX or something similar, but that would mean cutting the stream and potentially breaking OBS.

I feel like it'll have to be left as a strange, only-at-LAN type of issue, but if anyone else has used it and sees the grey background, but no text, let me know.

Other than that, I'm taking a small break from this to revive another project, and I hope I can post progress on it sometime soon :D

Thanks in advance!
