It's probably something really stupid but the problem's really simple, the chris' maxframes config i use stopped working after i reinstalled tf2.
I already verified my game cache but that did nothing.
I'm really really retarded when it comes to this. So if anyone can tell me what the problem is i'll be very glad.

What do you mean by 'stopped working'? It doesn't come into effect, or does something whack happen? If it's not saving to your config, try disabling Steam Cloud.

it just doesn't come to effect. trying disabling steam cloud now.

EDIT: Disabling steam cloud did not work.

You made sure to recreate your autoexec.cfg file with the Chris' config settings, right?

remember to call it autoexec as the file name...don't be me and call it autoexec.cfg. I did that for months without realizing...

As in throwing the old autoexec file out and getting a new one in, yes.

So what happens is:
I launch tf2, it says chris' max frams config is loaded and then the config just doesn't work.
It doesn't make any difference.

Could someone maybe type-out what you have to do when reinstalling a fps config. Like, i did it before and it went well but the chance that i missed something this time is there.

Create a new config file with all of Chris' Config settings in there and name it lqgfx.cfg.

Then in your autoexec file put in exec lqgfx.

If it still doesn't load, just manually type exec lqgfx in console.

If by "not working" you mean it's not super blocky (Minecraft-y) like it used to be, that's because an update screwed up the command that made it look blocky. If not, then sorry.
