danger zone is pretty fun but could definitely use some refinement and maybe even just a few more players in each match would help spice it up a bit.

the drones are pretty funny though and a neat gameplay addition

it's really well-made and i give props to the devs to how well they did on first release. though the main issue with the mode lies in its pacing; ammo baskets don't give very much ammo and it's difficult to find a good primary, so it creates a lot of weird pistol/fist fights

I think making it 18 players was the only way to go with small maps to keep the cs feel. 10 minute games feels too short for a BR. Also seems like everyone runs around with pistols and shotguns. Awps and rifles doesnt look like you can get them before the game is over. I'll have to try it to know more. Ive just watched a few vids and streams.

GazThis legit looks like a HL2 mod

it plays like one too.
VERY clever strats from valve though: make the game f2p and make a br gamemode to attract all the noobs but then make it absolute SHITE so they try the other gamemodes and play the real game. Genius

the f2p update is bigger, and a very good thing imo. All the armchair developers on the internet failed to notice the updates over the last year prepping for this. And even if that's not the case, there's no way valve would make the game free without realizing the potential consequences and preparing for them.

You say this, yet MyM was somehow pushed to release.

The CSGO team is like 8x bigger than the TF2 team. (Of course i made that fact up but we know CSGO's team is bigger. Way bigger. A Valve employee recently tweeted that the CSGO team had to move to a bigger room).
I'm not saying that the CSGO team prepared for the potential consequences, but let's not be making assumptions based on an entire other development team's problems.
