basically you get twice as much metal if you stand on top of a dispenser

this is not my video and its more oriented towards pubers but it still showcases this well.

This definitely affects 6s on extended lasts if people didn't know it yet... I sure didn't.

You can get double metal without standing on top of your dispenser; I think just pressing against the dispenser and walking towards it works (or at least I get fairly consistent results doing this), but I haven't thoroughly tested enough to say for certain. I can't remember exactly when it was changed but it's been this way for at least all of spring.

I don't think it matters a ton, it makes you marginally more efficient in certain situations but those situations don't really even come up that often, and since the limiting factor is usually how much metal is in the dispenser total rather than how fast you can get that metal from the dispenser I don't see it coming up frequently outside of like holding badwater/borneo last.

This reminds me of something I tested in 2008 as medic. If you pull out your melee, the medic hunches over. If you look in a certain direction (I forget exactly), it's literally impossible to be headshot because your head isn't visible. There wasn't many times where I used this because it's better to just not put yourself in the sights of a sniper (and obviously not helpful against a full-charge body shot).

I mean if you turn away from the sniper and look downwards you can't be headshot, or it's almost impossible. People do that a lot

That's what I said? lol

But what I was trying to say is that with melee out, because medic is hunched over in a certain way, you can look in a specific direction and it's actually impossible to be headshot. Not maybe, not sometimes, but actually impossible.

If melee isn't out, it's possible for a headshot still if you look down and away, just not as large of a hitbox. This is the case for most of the cast.

mb I thought you were describing 2 different situations here

Looking at the clip it's actually not that useful,
Cause it also takes 2 ticks from your dispenser, so it only helps in getting the 200 metal faster, not getting more metal in general from the dispenser.
Still cool little trick that I've never heard of

tbh if u just wave ur mouse around like a crazy person when ur in a sniper sightline ur head goes all over the place and it most snipers wont know how to deal with it and will also be very confused at what ur doing.
